A mystery writer’s alphabet

 

     A is for assassin.  B is for blood.  C is for cop.  D is for dead.  E is for elephants to hide the little clues.  F is for facts we keep them accurate.  G is for guns we like to use them, lots of them.  H is for hunt our protagonists must hunt for clues and killers, or homicide if that’s what you choose.  I is for interest we must keep yours.  J is for jail where we hope our killer goes.

     K is for killer, or knife, or even keep it simple.  L is for love life does the main character have one?  M is for murder of course.  N is for nefarious our bad guys must be this.  O is for outline a pain in the butt.  P is for plausibility.  Q is for questions we ask and answer.  R is for rewrite we do many.  S is for study.  T is for tension.  U is for usage think Strunk and White.  V is for variety.  W is write, and write and write some more.  X is the spot marked on the map.  Y is you the reader we must satisfy.  Z is the end.

The mystery writer’s reader’s alphabet: A is for antsy, B is for buying, C is for crap on a crutch would you pls hurry & get published, D is for doggoned, E is for excerpts, F is for finished writing, G is for get those books out there, H is for how happy I will be to read your entire series, I is for instant gratification from reading mysteries, J is for jumping up and down in anticipation, K is for keeping an eye out for new writers, L is for Lamb (your friend and now mine), M is for you (M) hee hee, N is for need mysteries!!, O is for outrageous twists and turns, P is for prices of books is rising – bad for me, good for u, Q is for quirky characters, R is for reading your work, S is for Sister-blogger-friend who always encourages me to keep writing, T is for tantalizing plots, U is for unique titles of your books, V is for volumes of work, W is for whimsical doggies (all of ours), X is for xamining what is wrong with me for writing this comment, Y is for Yummy pls make at least one of the cop characters yummy, and Z is for Zero energy left after writing this comment to you.     Maybe I should’ve said F is for fan base. P is for publishers did you read this, can you see that my books will sell? 🙂

    • Yes darling I know your books will sell because I plan to shout you to the world and tell everyone I know how amazing a writer you are — that should get you at least 11 sales (including mine which I fully expect to ship to you for signature). ROFL – I would say I’m your biggest fan, but 1) I’m not since I’m now on Weight Watchers (hahahaha), and 2) don’t want to freak you out as in stalker fan. I think you know me and know what I mean. Hug the pups for me!

  2. I am not going to compete with Crone’s ABC’s, she said it all, lol. I will add, however that you two put a whole new outlook on the traditional abc’s. Wish they could have been that interesting back then, hee hee.

    I’m betting that if Cronie and I were to really work at it, our ABC’s would be worse yet. 😀
