Going postal over online banking
My bank is driving me crazy. For the longest time I had set it up so I could pay certain bills online. I’ve been doing it for a long time. Now suddenly when I went to do this tonight, they said I didn’t have those accounts set up. When did they change it? Why wasn’t I told about it?
Frustrated, I jumped through their hoops and tried to set it up again. After wasting a couple of hours—yes I said hours. I still was unable to pay the bill I wanted to pay. Every time I tried, they gave me a present—an error message. Grrrr.
Well for cripes sake in the time it took me to jump through all those hoops I could’ve written out dozens of checks. Which I did anyway for the bill I wanted to pay because the stupid system wasn’t letting me make the payment online.
Of course, it’s the wee hours of Monday morning so I can’t ask them why. Nor can I ask them what happened to what I’d had set up and been using. Maybe the postal service complained to the banks and they decided to glitch everything so we’d have to mail our payments in.

Not sure I’d want to bank online or even view my bank statement online. That would mean going into that site more than once a month to keep them from discarding the password I CREATED!!! Sheesh, nothing’s sacred. It is MY account, even if I don’t check my statement online for 6 months, I will eventually so leave it alone! I went thru this one other time trying to get my password reset. You indeed have to jump thru hoops AFTER you wait for hours to just get someone on the line. As for the postal service? Maybe they complained to the Federal Reserve Bank who then applied pressure to the banks? LOL
Don’t ya just love it? And all of it because some people have nothing better to do with their lives than to make other people miserable.
Ooooooo I had problems with my online banking last week, too. It was so frustrating! I finally called them to find out what was going on. When I’d open the bill pay window, it would go completely blank! My Ad Blocker was blocking some new security feature they’d added.
This morning they sent me a message saying there was a message in my secure in box when I went to look, there was nothing there. So much for progress. LOL!
