Too much rain

Saturated ground, leaky roof, and a drenched basement, it’s time to load the Ark and set sail for dry land.  The yard is swampy, the pond overfloweth, and the squirrels are wearing raincoats, hats, and boots to raid the bird feeders.  The birds broke out the water wings.  The pups are begging for scuba gear.  Yes, there’s too much rain.

  1. Wait a second….don’t I remember reading somewhere that someone had had enough of the white stuff and would not complain about the mud and such as long as the white stuff finally was gone? HMMMM must have been someone else that gripes about mother nature peeing on our parades.

Yeah, yeah, yeah but that was before the roof started leaking…

  2. As I recall, the Ark didn’t have a main sail and just floated, landing wherever the dry land was. So, be careful, you could end up in California where a tsunami is going to be hitting sometime in the next few hours. In fact, stay out of the Pacific entirely, as that whole area could be hit. Knowing this, might you now be saying, “there’s no place like home” Dorothy?” LOL

I was relieved and happy to see my nephew post right after the earthquake hit–he and his family are in Japan–they are safe.

    • Golly, I had no idea you had family in Japan. Glad to hear they’re safe. My cousin had been over there 3 months at a time off and on. I believe he’s in New York right now so as far as I know he’s safe, too.

  3. I’m ready for sunny 75 degree weather that lasts for at least 2 months. Yeah, in my dreams.
