New mantra; never make plans…

I should know by now that when I make plans, something is going to happen.  I had planned to go over to the MIL’s house today to get some work done.  Well, that’s not going to happen.

Last night, while standing at the sink washing my grill pan, my back suddenly went out on me.

I hadn’t bent, twisted, turned, or lifted anything.  I wasn’t knocked about by a Bull Terrier either.  Go fig.  I’ll be spending the day on ice in my chair or bed.

  1. That sucks for you. Not sure whether to invoke Murphy’s Law or just use the phrase, The best laid plans of mice and men….. I guess either one works.

    My luck sucks lately…LOL!

  2. My DW says, “The surest way to make God laugh is to make plans.”

    And that’s the truth….

  3. So sorry to hear of your back. I had those issues this week as well. Wednesday afternoon mine went out, but I’d been chain sawing many, many limbs and branches. My back finally had had enough. A few motrin and kept on workin’. It worked, it went back in on its own…no chiropractor this time ’round.

Cool on it fixing itself. I’m hoping mine does…still having trouble.

  4. I know you will, but do everything you can to comfort your back. Billy and I will be rooting for you. Actually, at the moment he’s demonstrating chair napping, but you know what he means.

Another day or two and I should be back in good form.

  5. Sorry to hear of your back problems. I can fully sympathise as my back and hips have been playing up for the past week. I thought it was getting better over the weekend and then yesterday could hardly stand. Luckily JW is OK again and has been getting the meals!

It’s true that when your back hurts everything hurts.
