Mish mosh of subjects.

The vitamin D seems to have done some good for The Curmudgeon.  I did have him take extra on Tuesday and Wednesday he seemed to do very well.  I’m looking forward to seeing if we get the same or better results next week.

Gavin has decided that it’s okay to yank my arm out of the socket when I take him out on the retractable leash.  I put him back on a six-foot long training lead again.  He’s not thrilled but at least the rest of the day he didn’t yank my arm off.

Patty didn’t want to play with Gavin today, she wanted to cuddle with her Daddy instead.

You all have a good one!

  1. Amazing the good something as natural as Vitamin D can do, huh. Makes me wonder what other natural things are out there waiting to be discovered and accepted by folks. So many natural remedies are being debunked by so-called experts. I’m betting a Dr. would tell you the Vitamin D assist is a fluke, unless he’s better informed.

His Neurologist is the one who recommended it.

  2. Happy to hear about Vitamin D – eager for next week’s report. On the leash training – I ended up using one of those ‘horse style’ leashes (it works by turning the dog’s head back to you when it pulls). Sparkle-dog hated it, but after a few times wearing it, she learned to always ‘look back’ whenever the leash tightened, to which we always called her back for a happy snuggle and cuddle. After that, we only put it on when she got lazy about looking back. I would suggest that you borrow one, as it only takes 5-8 walks to work. Good luck with both!

Tried a halti with him years ago, got so you couldn’t come near him with it. He hated it that much. He’ll improve on the training lead, he has before. He really hates it that I make him sit before I open the door (always) and am now making him sit at the bottom of the porch stairs before he’s allowed to go. He has such a mean Momma.
