Answer to the puzzle…

Answer to yesterday’s puzzle.  It turns the fog from the fog machine into low-lying fog.  You duct tape the flexible duct to the fog machine outlet, run the hose through the trash can, fill the trash can with ice and the chilled fog will stay low.

Last year, we had the fog machine running for a while when The Curmudgeon came out the door all upset.  It seems our fog was getting inside the house.  We’re hoping the low-lying fog solves that problem.  😀

G is sewing the arms and legs together so I can stuff them and assemble the voodoo doll this weekend.

Minions!

minions     Since we didn’t get these made last year, we are making them this year.  G took all the fixings home with her today.  Our Twinkies are chocolate filled.

If you’re in the area on the 25th, stop by for Trick or Treat treats.   If you say you read my blog, you’ll get a Minion!  (Until the Minions run out.)

You all have a good one!

Da Moochers strike again!

HPIM3235We heared dat you had some jappalenno cheeze and corny chips.

What you mean iz almost gone?

HPIM3236Iz you gonna share wiff us?

Crap, we need to get done…T or T night approaches fast.

So, there I was climbing up and down the ladder all afternoon putting black landscape fabric in place, when someone mentioned the possibility of rain on Trick or Treat night.  NOOOOO!!!!!

I have the mouth stitched on the Voodoo doll head and am waiting for G to bring me the body.  I need to cut out the arms and legs.   The eyes are ready to apply, not sure if I’ll glue them on after stuffing the head or sew them on.

I am now accepting all lightweight packing material to stuff this gargantuan Voodoo doll.  *Giggle*

Found out how to make my fog  a low-lying fog.  Need to make a run to Home Dump.

HPIM3237Two panels of fabric up.  Ye Gods and little fishes how I hate to climb ladders!

HPIM3238Five panels up…one more will go up T or T night, for now we won’t cover the door.

Spooky!

HPIM3227Getting ready to hang my landscaping fabric…first step in spookifying the front of the house.  Bwahahaha!

HPIM3232*Giggle*  This has not been spookified, my desk always looks like this.

HPIM3221Annie’s voodoo doll almost finished…waiting for another eye that G had…we did finish and deliver it.

Nope, no pictures of the large voodoo doll…yet.

You all have a good one and get spooky!

Let the thermostat battles begin

So, last night The Curmudgeon turned on the heat.  This means for the rest of the year and clear on into late spring, I will suffer from being overheated.

I will turn the thermostat down, he will turn it up and so on.  He is always cold.  I tell him to dress warmer and get growled at.

Isn’t it easier to add more clothes?  I mean one can only remove so much and still be able to answer the door.  I really don’t want to subject anyone to horrifying sight of my naked old body.  😉

Now that I’ve left you with that brain exploding picture in your head…. I’ll say, you all have a good one!

Day 8 of Tecfidera

Day seven of the Tecfidera is over.  We shall see what happens today on day eight, this is the day he starts the higher maintenance dose of 240 mg. Twice a day.

Keep your fingers crossed that he doesn’t have the runs as part of the side effects.  This is what he dreads the most.

So far all he has had was mild flushing and only with his morning dose, mind you this was on the lower dosage.

The Squirrel wars continue

bad squirrel

This looks like the squirrel with which The Curmudgeon is having a daily battle.  LOL!

Fall is being good to us

The cooler weather is a delight and quite a relief for the pups.  They are getting their silly on every day we’ve had the cooler temperatures.  It is fun to see them chase each other around and go into wild hucklebutts.

The Curmudgeon is doing a bit better without the heat too.  As any of you know who follow this blog, heat is the enemy of MS patients.  Although with the cooler temperatures and the new medication making him seem to improve, I dare not leave him alone for more than the time it takes to run a few errands.

The neighbor who usually helps get The Curmudgeon up when he’s down on the floor has injured his back and cannot help us until he’s better.  Therefore I can’t take any chances on not being here or nearby.  I really don’t want to have to call 911 again even though the firemen were very sweet the last time.

Now, if only I could get the new light installed, the cracks around the back door and between the porch and house caulked, we will be ready for winter.

You all have a good one!

It’s true! I’m batty.

batrow

Gave Annie her voodoo doll yesterday.  From her squeal of delight, I figure she liked it.  😀

The Curmudgeon had another good day.  Yay!

Our dogs, Gavin and Patty are funny.  Gavin completely ignores all the noisy props but Patty likes them and loves when I set one or two off just for her to watch.  I think her favorite is the spider in the books.

Day three of Tecfidera

The Curmudgeon says he’s finding it easier to get up and down from the floor.  (We have two dogs they like him to get on their level from time to time.)  This may be true or wishful thinking on his part, we shall see.

I’m still seeing plenty of balance issues but he did manage an outing yesterday without using his rollator, he used his cane instead.  He hasn’t done that for a very long time.

He really did seem to be in better spirits the last two days than I’ve seen him in a while.

If things keep going this well I can see me getting to my Pennwriters conference in May.  Whoohoo!
