I won’t grow up
Posted by doggonedmysteries
Nope. Not me. Never gonna grow up.
My newest toy arrived today to add to my collection.
Yes, I have a bunch of silly toys.
I won a lovely little Target dog squirt gun in an auction to benefit a friend and fellow bull terrier owner.
I’ve already squirted one neighbor with it. LOL! It works well.

One red neck retirement away from bliss
Posted by doggonedmysteries
Between Lucy freaking out over all the fireworks, the asshole neighbor with his friends doing their best to torment The Curmudgeon all day, and The Curmudgeon griping to me about it…I have had it.
If I had the income to make it alone, I’d be out of here in a heart beat.
Oh hell, one nice lottery win would do it. Yes, that’s it, the old red neck retirement system.

Stop the craziness she wants to get off
Posted by doggonedmysteries
So yesterday found Lucy hiding in her crate most of the night. I’m sure today she’ll be in a worse state.
I left the door open and dropped the towel in front of it and she was okay with that.
Let’s play ‘spot the bully’
Nope, you can’t really see her from here she’s ALL the way in back.

I want to find a quiet place
Posted by doggonedmysteries
So there’s the rude neighbor giving The Curmudgeon fits because his music is so loud we can’t have the house open on such a nice cool day.
Later the music was still extremely loud, The Curmudgeon was trying to sleep, and he called the police on them.
Yes, he goes to bed early but he has to because he’s exhausted.
Battling secondary progressive Multiple Sclerosis 24/7 is a tiring job he never asked to have. There were no interviews, no applications. Nope. The job was thrust upon him.
Then there are all the idiots who are setting of fireworks and making Lucy a wreck. Gee, thanks you knuckle dragging imbeciles.

Caregiving is exhausting
Posted by doggonedmysteries
Both mentally and physically, being my husband’s caregiver, is exhausting.
I haven’t had a solid 6 hour night’s sleep since October. Mind you I said 6 and meant 6 because the most I seem to get is 4 or 5.
I’d be thrilled with 6, ecstatic with 8.
My back is in constant pain from helping him up from the floor when he insists I don’t ‘need’ to get help.
I just spent an entire hour putting this month’s worth of his medications together.
Yep, my back is killing me now.
I haven’t had a break from this in three years. I am very, very tired.
I am holding on to my sanity by a thread.
If I hit the lottery you will not hear from me for a while.
