Sanity, how important is it?

Lately, most days, I wonder why I bother to get out of bed.

One day blends into another.

The same thing every day.

The Curmudgeon repeats things so often now that I blow a gasket at first blush of another repeated dialogue.

My patience, once held onto by a thread, is gone.

I don’t want to do anything.

I barely speak to anyone other than him except for my outings with G.

If it weren’t for G I’d be completely out of my mind.

Who else is sick of the rain?

It was spring…now it’s not. Again.

It’s pouring rain.

A very chilly 38 degrees.

Lucy is rolled up in her fuzzy blanket. She’s snoring. Loud enough to wake the dead.

My feet got so cold I dug out some socks to wear.

With the damp and cold comes the aches of joints and old injuries.

Poppa John’s

So after outing himself as a rabid Trump supporter and racist, losing thousands of customers, and tanking their stock as a result, the founder of Poppa John’s basically got fired by his own  company.

However, the damage was already done.

Their desperation is showing. Have you seen their new commercial showing puppies playing with squeaky pizza slice toys?

Yeah, I love dogs but they will never convince me to buy one of their pizzas by using cute puppies.

I cried all day….

Why?

It was the anniversary of my baby sister’s death.

The cruelest day.

The worst day.

Another day in the trenches…

Written 5 days ago and never posted…I must’ve been awful sleepy.

Not a difficult day.

G and I went to get my blood tests done.

Then we stopped at Wegman’s for lunch.

Came home to find The Curmudgeon had actually talked to a fence person and he’ll be here this weekend to check the damage. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I’m sure.

Lucy knows something is up, I am so glad she’s completely used to being out on a leash all the time.

More wind tonight. No fun, dreading more damage to the fence.

Another cloudy day…

Actually the day began with such promise, blue skies and sun, but that didn’t last long.

The clouds rolled in again.

Dreary, joy sucking clouds covered the sun and drained all my energy.

The only thing that came near to brightening my day was getting my hair cut.

Even the birds sounded depressed when the sun went away.

dont feel like doing shit

SFE Energy-

Not your friendly customer service oriented energy provider.

Beware their door knockers. The one that came here opened our storm door and almost let Lucy out. I lectured him on the stupidity of that maneuver.

Oh yes, the smooth talker had us switch our electric over–actually it was more to get rid of his smarmy ass that I agreed. However, he lied when he told me I would not have to pay a fee to my old company for switching. They’d arrange everything. No, they won’t.

Personally, I feel that with the tactics they use they need to pay any and all fees they got me saddled with for moving to their company as a provider.

Once again, BEWARE OF SFE ENERGY door knockers!!!

It’s snowing…

Stop snowing

Dad’s birthday was yesterday…

I wish he was still here to celebrate it. It made me wish a lot of other stuff too.

I always wished my father, mother, and sister had stayed in the area for a few years after The Curmudgeon and I were married.

Fact is they moved to Texas a few months after our wedding.

I missed having them nearby. I missed celebrating birthdays and holidays with them. Talking on the phone was never enough and visits down there were few and very far between.

I lost my family and remained here as the interloper in my in-laws’ son’s life. They never once accepted me as part of the family.

I often felt beyond lonely…still do a lot of the time.

When The Curmudgeon wasn’t present they bullied me, and when they didn’t do that, they ignored me. I preferred the times they ignored me.

I found more and more excuses to not go to their house on weekends, they insisted we make appearances. The reason was more for The Curmudgeon to work his butt off doing chores for them than for any form of affection.

Mom and Dad

That fence….

So the fence guy stopped by today and took a look at the gaping maw in the back fence.

Of course it’s not the same materials his company uses.

Of course that guy should’ve, could’ve used what he uses.

I don’t care about that.

How fast can you fix it and wtf will it cost us?

He’ll let us know…Monday sometime.

A little windy?

Yeah, a bit.

It blew a section of fence down. I have no idea how soon or even how I am going to get it repaired.

So now we are open to thefts from our yard (wouldn’t be the first time), strange dogs finding their way in, and generally being creeped out about a vulnerable spot.

Didn’t get a picture taken of it today but as indicated in orange…this is what is missing.
