We stand on the precipice…
We look over the edge at our complete destruction.
The hatred that #45 and the Republicans have fomented in this country leads down.
The destruction of our EPA by #45 and the Republicans can only bring about disaster for us all.
They talk about doing away with Social Security and Medicare. Really? And those of us who are older will have nothing. Those who are disabled or ill will die.
They support Big Pharma’s lack of humanity and love of profit over people.
If they are allowed to continue, we will cease to exist.
Resist!
Yell! Scream!
Protest!
Take our country back by voting them out.

I’ll never get caught up…
I finished my laundry but I still have his to do and then all the other sundries.
The yard is in dire need of a clean up.
My car and his truck need washing.
The gardens need mulching. A weird hole in the yard needs digging out and filling in.
One ceiling fan needs a new switch.
A doorbell needs installing.
Attic still needs a cleaning up from the roofing disaster.
Then there’s the dusting, vacuuming, mopping…OMG too much to do and too little energy to do it.
New neighbors again…
I do wish the person who owns a certain neighborhood house would sell it instead of renting it out. It seems we get a stream of noisy, inconsiderate people living there more often than not.
The turnover on the house is fairly fast so you know the tenants don’t care about the neighborhood or the house.
I’m waiting for The Curmudgeon to lose it over the noise again. I’m wishing I could open the house and still hear my TV on low volume….

Alarms for this and that…
My life is run by a series of alarms.
My wake up alarm goes off at 10 a.m.
Don’t be shocked it is seldom that I get to bed before 5 a.m.
An alarm goes off at 11 a.m. to remind me to ask The Curmudgeon if he’s taken his pills and done his thrice a week shot.
At 1 p.m. two alarms go off to remind me to take my pills. (One on my cell phone and one on my computer.)
Finally one goes off at 1 a.m. to remind me to take my night time pills.
Lovely weather and a house mouse
We had a gorgeous day! Lucy and I were out and in frequently. We both couldn’t get enough of it. She’s learning to sit on the porch bench and she’s loving it.
My morning routine is to have my coffee and wafers in front of the computer while The Curmudgeon has his breakfast. Lucy snoozes in her crate until he’s done.
After he’s done, Lucy is out of her crate and usually is stretched out snoozing on the couch or on the floor behind me.
That’s where she was today when she suddenly popped up and went crazy under my desk.
Later on, I found out why when I saw a tiny mouse scamper by to hide behind The Curmudgeon’s chair.
Time to dig out the mouse traps again.

If wishes were horses…
As a younger version of me, I’d have a yard full of them.
However, this older version would rather have a large group of eager workers build me a patio and hardscape the rest of the yard.
I can see raised beds, a gazebo, a small private deck for yoga and meditation, and maybe a bocce court. The only grass left in my dream yard would be a small patch for Lucy to enjoy.
I can visualize that area where our pond was, flattened and my dream gazebo put there.
Sigh. If wishes were…help and supplies… I’d have a gorgeous yard.
