Lucy was back at the Vet’s
I had to call the vet’s office first thing. Lucy exhibited the signs of an ear ache on Saturday. They set up a 2.m. appointment.
Saturday, we gave her something for the pain (prescribed pain med we keep on hand.) I cleaned her ears, and put in some prescription ear drops. (Yes, that I keep on hand.)
Lucy was tickled to death to go and visit her girls. I swear she can never get enough attention. She pranced into the office, hopped on the scales, sat for her weight, hopped off and headed for behind the reception desk so she could meet and greet everyone there.
After everyone was thoroughly hugged and kissed, she got called into her exam room. Happy is the girl who gets MORE people to love on.
Temp taken, ears looked at, history caught up…She was given a ton of attention. Then in walked her vet. She played coy for about 3 seconds then succumbed to her nature and lavished hugs and kisses upon Dr. Pinola.
It’s depressing as hell living in Trumpland
Fight like hell anyway. There is no way we can let this continue.
Get out and vote, do not sit on your ass and gripe that your vote doesn’t count. Your lack of a vote is what put us in this mess.
Get your ass registered to vote if you have not done so.
I cannot speak of this enough. Vote as if your life depends on it, because it does!

Ugh, yard work is nowhere near done
I managed to fill two large trash cans with overgrown weeds and suckers from the sweet gum tree and barely put a dent in the mess in my gardens.
Meanwhile, my back decided it was time to quit before I was done.
I swear I’ll never get caught up with this freaking mess we call a yard.
Came in the house sweating my ass off and he had the nerve to ask me if it was hot outside.
“Fuck no, I always look like I just stepped from the shower when I come in from outside.”
I don’t even have my pots planted yet.
Last year…

Dandelions: give them some credit.
A friend told me she’d had some strange woman pounding in her door screaming that she needed to destroy the dangerous dandelions in her yard.
My friend called the cops on her and they took the nutball away.
Did you know they are related to sunflowers?
Did you know that dandelion greens contain vitamins C and B6, thiamin, riboflavin, calcium, iron, potassium, and manganese. Other nutrients present include folate, magnesium, phosphorus, and copper?
Did you know dandelion protects bones? Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body and dandelions contain 10 percent of your daily value. …High in Vitamin K. …Cleanses Liver. …Fights Diabetes. …Fights Skin Infections. …High in Antioxidants. …Rich in Fiber. …Good Source of Vitamin A.
Did you know that dandelion is one of the most nutrient-dense plants you can eat. It blows superfoods like spinach and kale out of the water. From flower to roots, everything, is edible. The taste of dandelion resembles a slightly bitter green like arugula. You can eat them fresh in salads, or cook them on the stove.
Did you know that (according to an article I read) one half cup of dandelions contains more calcium than a glass of milk, and more iron than spinach? One cup of dandelion greens contains 19 mg of Vitamin C, and the leaves contain more Vitamin A than carrots. And if you need some Vitamin K in your life, there’s no better source than dandelion leaves; 55 mg of leaves contain a whopping 535% of your daily value.
Best of all, they are free and found everywhere.
Get them out of here!
I am sick to death of this administration. When are we going to have the pleasure of watching all of these crooks get what is coming to them?
They are damaging this country beyond all we could imagine anyone could do in such a short time. It is pure greed and evil.
It has to stop!
Please, Mr. Mueller give us back our country before it is too late to recover!
