The caregivers’ dilemma

I’m sure I am not the only caregiver out there who has had to forego things like physical therapy, gym time, a social life, and etc.

My doctor wanted to send me for physical therapy for my back–one problem, The Curmudgeon’s constant appointments and emergencies limit me to tiny time frames for me.

Those are usually taken up by grocery shopping and running other errands.

One day I might be able to have the physical therapy for my back and be more comfortable.

A jumble of things

G and I were in Target when my phone alarm went off. Yikes! I’d forgotten my Dr. appointment. I had one hour to get back home, drop off my purchases, and get to my appointment. I made it with five minutes to spare.

The war zone sound effects continue. Lucy spent half of the evening in her crate.

Am I the only one who does late night laundry?

Sounds like a war zone…

Since the city of Allentown has allowed fireworks this year we are living in a total war zone. People have become total idiots.

The noise and smoke is completely out of hand.

The air quality outside is visibly horrid. A huge fog bank of smoke surrounds us.

It’s a mighty good thing that it rained or there would roofs afire all over town.

Dear Mayor,

Can we rescind this ordinance so there’s not a repeat of this insanity next year?

Sincerely,

Me

I’m betting this continues all night and poor Lucy can’t cross her legs much longer.

OMG

If today was any indication as to how the 4th will be, we’re in for a lot of noise.

Fireworks went off all night last night and looks as though it will be the same tonight.

I truly dread tomorrow.

Poor Lucy.

Stuff and more

Wow, is it ever hot. We hit 98 with a real feel of 110.

So thankful for the AC.

So very thankful for Kevin and Viviana from next door for helping The Curmudgeon up and to his chair from the back porch where he went down because of the excessive heat. There was no way I could get him up without damaging my back more than it already is.

Due to idiots and fireworks again I have the TV set on a classical music channel and the volume up. Lucy hasn’t had to hide once so far tonight. The music is doing a good job of covering up the explosions.

We have the new fans up

Thanks to G’s eldest son our new fans are up and running. They have remotes…seriously considering installing the wall mounts for the remotes so they don’t get lost.

Can’t believe we had the old ones for over 35 years. But yep, we did.

Not the 4th yet…

We’ve had crazy fireworks going off for days. Lucy is ready for a week in a sound proof room where she can get rid of her stress.

I don’t know how or if she’ll hold it together for the 4th and all the days before and after where the idiots have to, just HAVE TO set off fireworks.

If you have fireworks, do everyone a huge favor and set them all off on the fourth so we don’t have to listen to them for weeks afterwards!
