Dr. Who marathon not over yet…
One of my favorite Dr. Who adventures is the one where he and Amy go visit Vincent Van Gogh. It is delightful.
I am looking forward to the new doctor. It’s exciting that this time Dr. Who will be a woman.
Vote as if your life depends on it, because it does.
It is with great sadness that I have witnessed the giant step backwards for women and minorities in this country.
There is little justice for us in the highest court in the land. Our congress and senate is amok with greedy, misogynistic old men who only care for money and power.
They have lost their humanity, their kindness, their common sense, their compassion, and everything else that makes them human.
They have, for too long, been in power in this country.
The time has come to take them down. To push them out into the real world where they can see the depths of despair for which they are responsible.
Get out and Vote! Vote Blue and keep hoping that we will once again be a nation of integrity, hope, and advancement.

Another day where I accomplished…Nothing.
Up at 9, thanks to The Curmudgeon and his OT. An hour before my alarm went off, and did it hit the fan for him.
I tossed boneless pork ribs into the crock pot with a store bought apple bourbon pulled pork sauce and set them to cooking.
Then the OT guy arrived and ran TC through his paces for an hour or so.
Soon after he left I had to take off to an appointment with the weight doctor. Down another pound–yay me.
She wants me to try another medication so I had to stop at CVS on the way home–waited there about an hour.
So glad I thought to make a crock pot dinner. No fuss for me and the house sure smelled good when I got home.
Switching Lucy to a new food starting tomorrow, She got a taste tonight and went wild. She loves it. I’m hoping this goes smoothly.
“Spoilers Sweety”
Today’s Tee

Days are filled on my calendar
So The Curmudgeon has both an occupational therapist and a physical therapist coming to the house to work with him. Between them they have every day covered during the week.
The OT guy doesn’t work The Curmudgeon very hard. He keeps trying to find him ways to get up and down easier and has him doing some upper body exercises. I like him because he could be someone who can get TC to think more of how to do things safely.
The PT guy, LOL, well he makes TC work hard. He’s had TC as a patient before and knows he’ll slack off. We sort of have an alliance. He doesn’t let TC bullshit him and always looks to me for a second answer to any of the questions he asks TC. Hehehe. We are not letting TC get away with anything.

Tornado warnings …oh my!
We had a tornado warning/watch tonight.
Lots of rolling thunder came through which sent Lucy scurrying for the safety of her crate.
“Momma, lock the door and drop the towel I am skeered!!!”
She buried herself under her fuzzy blanket and I didn’t hear a peep out of her until we’d had no thunder for over an hour. Then she pawed the crate door to come out, and when I let her out, she went right to the couch to go back to sleep.

Needed help tonight
The Curmudgeon did a slow motion fall between the kitchen and the living room–one look told me I wasn’t getting him up.
He wasn’t hurt, just too damned weak to get up. Thank goodness for Vivianna.
Oh, and thank goodness we have the insurance we have. Total for his bill at the hospital? $90,410.00. Yeah that bill came today.
If we didn’t have our insurance we’d be in the poorhouse for sure just on the one bill.

I have spent days and will spend more days watching the Dr. Who marathon on BBCA.
How could I resist? Well, as you can see, I couldn’t.
Looking forward to the new Dr. Who. It’s about freaking time!
