A good day.
The lawn guys showed up, yay!
I found my first ripe Kajari melon today. I planted a few seeds in my rocking chair pot and my raised bed and I believe there are at least 6 more in there. There is a little one in the chair. Guess what I am having for dessert tonight.
Penny is unnerdabed because a small thunderstorm passed through, she’ll get over it by dinner time.
Y’all have a good night. Thank you for reading this.

Baby steps again.
Last night I didn’t close Penny’s crate door. She never left the crate all night. My hope is to have her wake me up by jumping onto the bed. Not impossible, right?
I’m sitting on my front porch, it’s 11am, and already 82 degrees.
The hummingbird wars over the feeders are ongoing and fun to watch. 3 feeders and they fight over them. 🙄
The bird songs have suddenly stopped as a pair of hawks wheel about in the thermals above me, screaming their hunting cries. The only other sounds are my wind chimes and someone working on a nearby house.

It’s been awhile
So much has happened since I was last here.
Lucy crossed the rainbow bridge on July the 20th. It broke my heart. She was 15 and went into heart and renal failure. I miss her.
Penny took a few steps backwards after Lucy died. I’ve moved her into my bedroom, she’s adjusting, but very slowly. I am not going to push her because I know that any changes to her routine are set backs.
I’m doing 3D puzzles to relax and, hopefully, get my creativity flowing again.
Thank y’all for your patience. I am working on growing and moving forward. Sometimes the journey takes strange twists and turns, but I’ll get there.
