We have a couple of does with fawns hanging around the neighborhood. One doe, I believe is the mother of the other one, has twins every year. The younger doe has one. This is the doe who comes to me for a treat each night.

I started feeding her apples and carrots when she showed up limping badly on a rear leg. She was having some trouble standing to nurse her fawn. I hoped that a little supplemental feeding would help.

It seems it has helped her enough that she’s walking almost limp free now and she’s able to nurse her fawn.
