I miss my pond.

Tears enough to fill the oceans

Exhaustion.

Tears.

Dread.

Tears.

Frustration.

Tears.

Mourning the loss of him before he’s gone…for years.

Anger, lots of anger.

Many more tears.

Heartsick.

Lost.

Alone.

Tears never stop.

Where did the good times go?

Love is gone

All that remains is a shell, a sham.

Tears flow.

Stress relief…or I love you but…

Ever have one of those days where you just can’t stand the sound of the other half’s voice for one more minute?

Yeah, that was me the last two days.

My solution for days like that is to pull out the MP3 player and pop in the head phones.

Music = mini vacation.

Updates to begin the week

One good thing all the rain we’re having is doing. It is stopping the idiots from setting off fireworks. We can only hope that their enthusiasm for blowing things up wanes and peace continues. If we’re real lucky, all they have left got wet.

Lucy is happy.

Three more days of rain predicted.

Fourth injection of Rebif for The Curmudgeon. He actually drove himself to his pain management appointment. He is still having trouble walking but not as visibly as before. Let’s hope this continues.

The damned squirrels ate all the plum tomatoes and most of the regular ones even with the plants caged in chicken wire. Picture below taken before I put up the chicken wire.

Again? You want out again?

Oh yeah, The Curmudgeon did his third injection of Rebiff. Not sure if we’re seeing any results yet. However, with him it is difficult to tell if he’s improving or not since he spends most of his time sitting in his damned chair watching TV.

Don’t mind me this was one of those days where I felt like everyone’s slave.

Is it any wonder that I don’t get any writing done these days?

My butt would no sooner hit a chair and one of the dogs or The Curmudgeon wanted me to do something for them. I have so much I need to do but they have me running in circles so much I can’t even catch my breath much less catch up on things.

fuck it

I’ll never grow up

Yesterday found me in Target with G. As we walked past the toy section, I spotted MINIONS.

So there I was pushing buttons to make them talk and move. Playing with goggles I looked to the other side of the display and the sounds of an angelic chorus sang in my head when I found the fart blaster!

I want one.

It had us giggling. I need to giggle a lot.

Gavin and Patty with Minions.

One of those days.

The idiot thugs from down the street decided it would be fun to come up to our end of the street and have a huge yelling, screaming, phone cameras rolling fight. At 2:30 a.m. Yes, I said TWO THIRTY in the MORNING.

I so did not wish to have a need to call the police, I so did not wish to watch The Curmudgeon come stumbling downstairs because of the commotion, and I so did not wish to get my adrenaline pumping.

Seems I am the only one around here with the guts to phone the police, the idiot thugs and the asshole younger shits have intimidated most. Not me.

As I told the Curmudgeon, “I already died once. They don’t scare me.”

I need that lottery win because they truly don’t scare me but they probably will be the death of me with the stress they cause around here.

I so need to get out of here and go live on a nice quiet beach.

Oh effing crap.

We missed The Curmudgeon’s CT scan appointment yesterday because no one told us he had one. This is to recheck his lungs. We were told that we would get a call to tell us if they could schedule him in.

Never got a call.

We were home.

We did get a call to tell us he missed it.

Then, pissed off, he started making a few calls of his own. Kermit face

Roses are…are…aaachooo!

Surprise, surprise. My allergy season has hit. All those roses in bloom around here have me coughing, sneezing, and wheezing. My eyes are watering and itchy. Oh yeah, fun time!

Don’t get me wrong, I love roses, but they don’t love me.

Quick, run out and buy stock in tissues.

And then there’s the rest of the porch…disaster!

Yay! He will have teeth!

Another fitting of the wax dentures yesterday was a great success. He is finally happy with the fit!

He will have his new dentures in two weeks. I think the new ones are great looking.

Now all we need to do is pay them off. It’s amazing how expensive dentures are.

In fact, the cost of dental care these days often makes it out of reach for people on fixed incomes. A damned shame that dental insurance is not part of the healthcare system when the condition of your teeth and gums can have such a huge impact on your overall health.

Here’s to Aspen Dental for hitting a home run With The Curmudgeon’s new teeth.

Here's to you

Out and about

G and I went out to lunch, the first of two lunches out we’ll have this week, and probably the only meals out anywhere we’ll have for the rest of the month.

We went to Applebees because it is next door to Target. I enjoyed a spinach salad with chicken wrap and G had broccoli cheese soup and a chicken wrap. Lovely light lunches. And I have to mention our server Chris, he was a delight. We’ve had him serve us before and always have enjoyed him. The kid is a real hoot.

Target was our main agenda for the day.

We do love to do a little shopping there at least once a month. This time The Curmudgeon wanted a new DVD that came out yesterday so we were happy to oblige him.
