It’s melting!
Posted by doggonedmysteries
The yard is, once again, almost clear of snow. I hope that is the last we see of it for a long time. I’m one lottery win away from never seeing it again. The last three winters were miserable and this one was the worst of them. Lucy and I are not fond of the cold and we’re hoping we never have to go through another winter like this one. Gavin and The Curmudgeon don’t care about the cold. I’m all about the heat. So looking forward to real spring weather and the summer.
You all have a good one!

Yeah, I can’t think of anything to write tonight so I’m going to take a runner and leave you all hanging.
Wearing this shirt. 😀
First day of spring and we get snow…geez!

Pack your bags old man winter. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out! So long. Farewell. Time for you to go now.

One birthday present…
Posted by doggonedmysteries
My birthday gift to myself came yesterday.
It looks great in my room and it is the perfect height for me to use my bed for a foot rest.
*Doing a happy dance.*
You all have a good one!

Blah

My birthday is in two days. This one is depressing as hell. I feel as though I have nothing to show for all these years on this earth.
All my art work that my parents had kept over the years is gone–stolen by someone I should be able to trust with my life, but I wouldn’t trust her with a bag of dog shit.
My writing is at a standstill because my brain won’t work under stress.
All I have is The Curmudgeon, my cousins, my friends, and the pups.
Come to think of it, I am wealthy.
You all have a good one.

Without Tecfidera life goes on
Posted by doggonedmysteries
Slower, clumsier, and with falls. His day wasn’t easy.
Of course I didn’t get much sleep. Why? Because everyone and his brother was calling on the phone starting at 9 a.m. with appointment reminders. These are the same people I tell that ‘I am not a morning person so please make my appointment for the afternoon.’
Think much?
Yeah, I didn’t think so. This was me today…

Curmudgeon update and more
Posted by doggonedmysteries
We had a busy day yesterday. I took The Curmudgeon over for his every three months neurologist appointment. Nothing new there. She is going to have him get more frequent blood tests done to keep a close eye on him because of the one medication (Tecfidera) he is on.
From her office we went to the first of his every-other-month blood test. I dropped him off and drove across the street to a strip mall to pick up the dogs’ food and cookies. Then back over to pick him up. The timing was perfect, a minute after I sat down in the lab’s waiting room, he walked out.
Today I take Lucy to the vet for her wellness check and shots. This should be fun. She’s such a hoot.
Psssst! If I hidez here you fink dey willz find me?

Sun made ice….
Posted by doggonedmysteries
It is said that if you send off your desires into the universe they will happen. Beach. I am working on that idea these days. Beach.
We had a lot of sun yesterday but with temperatures in the thirties it didn’t do much in the way of melting the new snow on top pf the old snow on top of the icy remains of the even older snow. Beach.
No, all that melting did nothing, other than make more ice on top of the new snow. Beach
More snow predicted for today. Oh. Joy. Beach.

Would you believe it? More. Snow.

I woke up to find it snowing like crazy. Again. OMG. We have had more than enough.
Depressed? You bet!
Once the weather breaks, I won’t want to be inside for more than a minute or two at a time. If I disappear once we get decent weather, too bad guys. I am in dire need of outdoor therapy I have been far too closed in all winter.

We’ve had quite enough winter thank you very much.

Bone chilling 16 degrees. This winter is killing me. One piece at a time, it is killing me. At least we had sun yesterday. Unfortunately today we’re supposed to have snow. Again. Two times this coming week.
The rain and 45 degrees predicted for Wednesday almost sounds tropical after this stuff.
I saw a robin again, this is the only thing that gives me the hope that Spring is on the way.
Is it awful that all I can think about is a warm and sunny beach?
I think I’ll wear this shirt today.
You all have a good one.

Even a chore induced outing is better than none

A day out of the house even to go grocery shopping was a good thing. G and I first stopped for a lovely lunch at a nearby restaurant. http://wertscafe.com/cafe-menu Monte Cristos were in order. Delicious.
Then we were off to the grocery store where I loaded my cart and blew a fortune. I did get everything but one item on my list. That counts as a yay! Shopping with G anywhere is always fun.
Next stop, the farmers market. We love going there. I picked up some smoked Gouda, sliced and wonderful especially when added to grilled cheese sandwiches. We had them for dinner with tomato soup.
The Curmudgeon is thrilled, he has soft drinks again. The man drinks them like crazy. Nothing I say will stop him.
It is bitter cold again.
I so want to be on a warm beach.
You all have a good one!
