No post today.

I am too effing tired and too effing depressed to post.  Really bad day for The Curmudgeon.

Paint…The Curmudgeon…2 Dogs…this should be interesting.

I bought the paint for the living room, stairs, and upstairs hallway  today.  Only cost me an arm and leg even with the 40% off.

     Main color: http://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW6204-sea-salt/

Painting should be fun.  The last time I painted the house I was younger and in better shape.  I did have the same two dogs and they too were younger, in better shape, and full of curiosity and mischief.
The Curmudgeon was still working and so was out of my hair.  He’s not now.  Yep.  Interesting.
Open invitation for house painting volunteers.  Hands?  Um, gee.  Yeah I thought not.

That downward spiral that is MS

It would be so nice to be able to write that The Curmudgeon had a great day.  I do not see that coming down the pike any time soon.

If anyone tells you that watching a loved one go downhill due to an ailment of some sort, isn’t the hardest thing in the world to do, they are full of shit.

I’ve watched The Curmudgeon trudge that downward spiral for years and the last few have been the worst.  I dread waking up and going downstairs each day.  I fear what I’ll find.  Is he having an okay day or is he having another bad day?  Far too often the bad days outnumber the good.

The strong man I married is no longer who I see.  I see a stranger.  I see his frustration, his bitterness, and his flagging spirit.  He lashes out at me on occasion.  I lash out at him too.   It’s on days like that where I need to find someplace to escape to so we both can decompress.

I lost my weekly Border’s decompression when they closed their store.  The gym just doesn’t cut it for me, it is not a place where I am at ease.  Starbucks here is a little stand at a mall.  It seems to me there are no more comfortable places for a writer to go around here.  Don’t suggest the local library, they don’t like it when you come in to hang out and there’s no coffee.

Zzzzzzz’s like crazy

My allergies were acting up the other night.  Therefore, I took two Benadryl before bed instead of the usual one.  I did not hear a single sound until one in the afternoon.  LOL!

Talk about zonked out.  The fact that I got only three hours of sleep the night before didn’t help either.  It’s a good thing The Curmudgeon had a decent day and didn’t need me.  We agree, I probably needed it.

He claims that the dogs were well-behaved and didn’t ask to out as often as usual.  I’m not sure about that, they are real stinkers at times.  He may have been sparing me some guilt.

I do believe he had them up very early and that’s why they wanted their naps so bad by two o’clock that Gavin even resorted to scolding me.  At seven last night they were begging to go to bed.  My dogs are not night owls like their Mommy.

Now, it is time for me to scoot out of here and make sure they get their late night out.

You all have a good one!

Yes, to a nothing day.

How nice it would be to spend today doing nothing.  I could use a nothing day.  I spent all of the last few days cleaning, weeding, washing, vacuuming, dusting, reorganizing, and I’m still not done.

My back says, “Enough!  Take a freaking break and get off your feet so I can rest.

I do believe I’ll listen to it.  Besides, Monday afternoon the new rugs will arrive, I’ll need my back in good shape then.

You all have a good one!

Enjoy, my friends.

It’s hard to keep your sense of humor when you are watching a dear, dear friend suffer.  Therefore, tonight I am posting more garden pictures.  I would’ve posted brand new ones but my camera ate the last of my AA batteries.  Need to buy more.

Today this blog passed the 100,000 hit mark!

When I started this blog I never thought I’d make it past the one year mark.  I did.  I didn’t think I’d make it two years.  Here I am still going after six years.

I try to post every day and only have missed days when I was at my conference or too ill to sit up.

Now I hit another milestone in the life of this blog, I made the 100,000 hit mark and passed it all in the same day.  Wow.

Thank you all so much for hanging in here with me and bringing others in to view my insanity.   I am going to go have a glass of wine to celebrate.  Cheers!  You all have a good one!

No energy = picture post.

I am so tired that instead of writing a post I am going to do another picture post.  Then I am going to bed.

On the herbs of a dilemma…

Drove over to Ollie’s and found four nice pots, three of which I planted, two with basil and one with rosemary.  Now I need to find another herb to plant in the last pot.

The Curmudgeon suggested dill but I have that growing in a pot with one of the tomato plants.  I have chives in another one.  I have lavender and mint growing in the gardens.  I am debating putting parsley or cilantro in the pot.  It is a tall and narrow pot.

Any suggestions out there?

KABOOOM!

Sound asleep when a fierce crack of thunder right outside the window beside me  bounced me out of bed.  I grabbed my pillow and dashed downstairs away from windows to the safety of the couch.  My heart was doing all sorts of gymnastics in my chest.

It took an hour for my pump to settle and for me to decide to go back to my bed.  Whew.  I slept late.  It rained all day.

     Still raining at 3 a.m.

You all have a good one, I’m hoping for a dry one.

Look Out!
