Did you notice I was gone for a day?

Spent Tuesday and most of Wednesday in the hospital.  All is well.  Wasn’t feeling very well Tuesday when I got up and after I showered and dressed was feeling worse.  Had some mild symptoms similar to when I had the heart attack, so I had The Curmudgeon call an ambulance.  I wasn’t taking any chances.

They sent me home yesterday around 6 p.m. all clear.  They did adjust some medications to lower dosages added a new one and took me off another.  My potassium levels were too low so they have me taking some now too.  My cholesterol levels are great according to them.  All my blood tests came back good and the echocardiogram stress test was very good.

You all have a good one!

Nekkid house!

Holy cow, my living room is empty, devoid of furniture, nekkid!  It looks strange to say the least.  The pups are confused.  Poor babies keep looking for the chairs and the new sounds–echoing through here have them a bit on edge.

I’ll post the before and after pictures tomorrow.  Sometime between 9 a.m. and noon, the new furniture arrives.

You all have a good one!

Finally the heat breaks and I can cook on the grill without melting

Dinner tonight: one freshly picked eggplant, grilled.  Yum!  Salad made with romaine and freshly picked, yellow cherry tomatoes, and grilled marinated chicken breasts.  Ice cream for dessert.

Did some work in the garden filling another two barrels with yard waste and it still looks as though I did nothing.

You all have a good one!

Wednesday

Yesterday my day began to the rat tat tat tat of a jack hammer under my window a full three hours before my alarm went off.  I got up, closed my window, crawled back into bed, and pulled a pillow over my head.  It didn’t feel like a long time when my alarm began to blare music.

I climbed out of bed, dragged my butt to the shower, and then got dressed.  I e-mailed Annie to tell her the street might be blocked.  She never got the e-mail and called instead, I forgot to tell her about the blocked street.  Oops.  Brain fart!

Annie, G, and I went to Target to get a little shopping done.  Upon returning to my house we each tried a glass of the Chocovine  http://www.worldmarket.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4058357  That was in one of my baskets.  It is to die for!!!!

You all have a good one!

Sunday in the garden…

I can’t wait for this iris to bloom–it’s my black one.

Still waiting for the blue and yellow ones to open too.

They do love their Daddy!

Lazy day pictures

38 years lost and now found.

For the 38 years since our wedding we had none of our wedding pictures.  They’d disappeared, were lost, they were gone forever only a few weeks after the wedding.  For years we searched and my relatives searched to no avail.  What few wedding pictures we’ve had all these years were gathered from snap shots taken by friends and relatives.

By serendipity some wedding slides surfaced yesterday.  Not all of them, but some great ones from the wedding and reception that we thought we’d never see again.   I have pictures of my Father, Mother, Gramma (Mom’s mom), and Grandpa (Dad’s dad)!!!

We intend to have the slides put on a disk.   I told The Curmudgeon they go over to the photo place no later than Wednesday of next week!

We are now only missing a few pictures that my brother-in-law took of us at the Rose Gardens.

I took my camera to the park again
