Okayz, dat iz it! Two nightz in a row ob da mean nasty thunder boomer storms is enuff.

Momma waz berry worried dat with the AC shutted down Daddy would hab trubble, but it came back on before it gotted too hot in da house for him.
Wild weather
The sky darkened considerably while I cooked dinner.
Just before I served it up, the sky opened and the air between the clouds and the earth flooded. We couldn’t see across the cemetery.
The street out front was no longer a street but became a raging river. I was on the lookout for white water rafters.
Thunder rattled the windows.
Needless to say neither dog wanted to go out to pee until the rain slowed to a trickle.

Raindrops keep falling…
Some much-needed rain is passing through.Thunder is once again softly rumbling all about us. If it gets loud, Lucy gets nervous.
My yard will want mowing rather quickly now. I’m sure the gardens are loving it.
It’s a darned shame my neighbor and I didn’t wait until later today to dig out the plants that we did dig out yesterday. Would’ve been easier with soft, moist ground.
Now I do believe I will settle down on the couch with Lucy and doze to the sound of the rain.
Where did it go?
We had some nice days that were all Spring like and wonderful and then *Poof* we’re back to cold and windy crap.
Hey! You Canadians can quit sending those cold fronts our way any time now.
Western PA got snow. We got cold and wind.
Can we please go back to our spring?
My poor tree is bound to get frosted. Again.

Yeah, this is going to be a short, quick post. I don’t need to be online and have the electric go out right in the middle of writing my blog.

Really? More snow?
I can’t believe it, we have snow in the week’s forecast. When I took the dogs out at 4 a.m. yesterday it was snowing.
*Packing bags*
So the snow finally slowed down…almost stopped…
The day before yesterday, our yard was clear of snow…
Today we’re supposed to hit fifty degrees. Oh, please, please, please let it be.

“Fog so thick you could almost cut it”
Clichéd yes. Truth also yes. Looking out my kitchen window I can barely see my fence line. That is a thick fog.
Rain and warmer temperatures have raised a fog impossibly thick. Oh, the horror tales that could come from it!
It is thicker than this fog:
52 degrees!
After all the nasty snow and cold, cold, cold weather we’ve had this was an absolute heat wave. Temperatures in the high forties and even up to the mid fifties all week? I can live with that.
It sort of drives a few of my Southern friends crazy that to me this is T-shirt and flip-flop weather. They shiver and run for a blanket to wrap themselves, or a winter jacket. Meanwhile I’m outside in a T-shirt and flip-flops enjoying the day.
Mind you, I did have to step carefully in the yard since it is still covered in snow…

We are seeing a warming trend…
We were above freezing yesterday even without the sun. Not by much, only two degrees, but it is better than below freezing.
Today 42 degrees, tomorrow 45, and it keeps getting better with 47 on Tuesday and 50 on Wednesday.
The basement is already flooding in the back so I can tell we are in for some interesting times. Yes, another reason I hate this house.
At least both dogs are going out willingly.
