No salt again…
Posted by doggonedmysteries
I can’t believe with all the running around G and I did yesterday, that I, once again, forgot to pick up salt or some form of ice melt.*Headdesk*
What’s the weather prediction for today? Snow. And for the next day, lots of wind and extremely cold temperatures. Duh.
Cold enough the last couple of days that we had to jump both our vehicles.
If you thinks you can get me out from under the fuzzy blanket, you is crazy!

When is it going to stop?
Posted by doggonedmysteries
Momma looked out the window and she says it is snowing again. NOOOOOO! This cannot be!
It is no fair! I say it should warm up and the sunshine be tickling my behind as I roll in the grass. Stupid white stuff falling from sky is not nice.
I told Momma she has to get me some boots like hers so I can walk in the white stuff without my feeties getting frozen. My name is not Elsa it is Lucy!
Stupid white stuffs. This be Lucy signing off!
Signed,
Gavin

More snow? Dang it!
Posted by doggonedmysteries
I am happy to report that most of the snow we had melted off yesterday.
Unfortunately, later on, we have more snow predicted to arrive here. Yes, those are tears falling.
I have to laugh, while the snow fell, Lucy wouldn’t go out without her hoodie and hat on, what a spoiled little princess!
Gavin doesn’t care, he’ll go out in any weather.
You all have a good one. I’ll be snuggled on the couch with the pups.

Oh no, SNOW!
Posted by doggonedmysteries
Yep. I am not enjoying it. I was happy with the rain and a few flakes here and there. An accumulation? No thanks.
I am so looking forward to spring. Both dogs are too.

The weather outside is frightful…
Posted by doggonedmysteries
So we had a day of rain with a temperature of 32 degrees. That means everything became coated with ice.
Then the temperature rose to 34 degrees but that didn’t help much.
There were over 300 accidents with a few fatalities and many injuries. The salting and brining done on the roadways did no good because the rain rinsed it off.
When I last took the dogs out we had thick fog, thick enough that I couldn’t see our back fence from the porch. The yard and sidewalks sported a coating of ice, albeit a thin layer that once the dogs got off the cement they were able to walk without slipping.
I’d say this winter counts as a seven on the scale of weird weather.
I hope later today that the sun comes out and we warm up to where the ground dries a bit.

I was going to go shopping but…
Posted by doggonedmysteries
First of all I hate to do any sort of shopping. Second, I NEED to go grocery shopping. The cupboards are almost bare. I should go today but the forecast is calling for a mixed bag of weather, rain, sleet, and snow.
I think the shopping can wait a day when the forecast is for cold but sunny weather. I hate driving in bad weather because I love my van and there are too many idiots out there that forget how to drive when the weather gets bad.
The bad weather has already begun.

Looks like we’re in for some snow.
Posted by doggonedmysteries
How much snow we’ll get is anyone’s guess. Of course this cold snap we’ve had means that Lucy gets to wear her hoodie and hat again.
She was quite pleased to have her shirt and hat on last night when the cold winds tore through here with a vengeance. This girl sure doesn’t like being cold.
At the moment she is wrapped up like a bully burrito in her fuzzy blanket. I don’t even see an ear sticking out.

Where has the sun gone?
Posted by doggonedmysteries
It may be December but that shouldn’t mean that our sunshine (what little there is at this time of year) completely disappears for weeks on end.
We’ve had nothing but gray and dreary days with rain (at least it’s not snow).
The forecast tells us that we have four days of partly cloudy weather heading our way. Tell me, what is the difference between partly cloudy and partly sunny?
My floors are muddy with Curmudgeon and dog prints. I am the only one who wipes my feet on the mats. I hope we have some drying of the ground.

Icky weather heading our way
Posted by doggonedmysteries
According to the weather forecast app on my Firefox tool bar, we are facing two days of snow and temperatures in the mid 30s. No sign of sun coming our way until Friday and Saturday.
I miss the sun.
The dogs miss the sun. They don’t want to wear winter hats and coats all the time.
I need to hit the lottery so the dogs and I can move to Florida or Georgia. I do love a beach. We’ll bring The Curmudgeon along if he wants to leave PA but that probably would take some crow bar action.
His roots go deep and I’m thinking that just to move him out of this damned house would take dynamite.

Baby, it’s cold outside!
Posted by doggonedmysteries
A Nor’easter is on its way and we can already feel the change in the air.
Bitter cold wind whips through and stings our faces. So glad the pups’ hats arrived!
Thank you to their Auntie Diana. She was able to find them at her Target. Our Targets were all wiped out of them.
So worth it too. Aren’t they cute?!
