My little fashion plate…
When Mom got home from her doctor appointment she found a package between the doors.
When she opened it, she said it was for ME!
My tail was all waggy and I was so excited! For ME!!!!
Thank you Mz Amanda! I loves it, I didn’t want the Momma to take it off of me. Now I’ll look all cute for my Vet appointment next week!

This is the material she used:

A day in the life…

Hark! Is that the pizza guy at the door?!

You know, I too likes the pizza.

What do you mean,”I had my dinner already?”

I will trade my prized toy for a pizza bone!

The after pizza bones glow.
Dinner is ready for tomorrow
Yeah, I’m not cooking, I ordered a pizza to be delivered at dinnertime tomorrow.
I have a 1:45 doctor appointment and have to go grocery shopping afterwards so no cooking dinner for me.
I love that I can order it, pay for it including the tip, and have it delivered for our dinner tomorrow and they actually arrive on the dot.
I tried out my new little crock pot last night, I made our breakfast in it. I set it up with steel cut oats and it was perfectly ready at 10 a.m.
At 3 a.m. I greased the pot with coconut oil, put in a can of coconut milk, 1 and 1/4 cups of water, teaspoon of butter, 1/2 a tsp of salt, 1 cup of steel cut oats. about 1/4 cup of dried cranberries, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, 1/4 cup brown sugar, stirred it well.
Put the pot on high for 30 mins, dropped to low for 7 hours.
I loved it, The Curmudgeon not so much. LOL

We walked…
G called this morning, we had such a delightful day weather wise, She asked if I wanted to do our first walk of the season.
Are you kidding me? You bet your ass I do!
He’s been driving me crazy for days, to take advantage of some time away from home, I didn’t hesitate.
Not only did we have a lovely walk, but we also made a stop at Target where I found a small crock pot I wanted. Funny, last night I was on Amazon looking for one this size. The cheapest they had it was 19.95. Target had one for 11.99. Yep, I bought the one at Target.
On the way home we made another stop for a delicious lunch at Nick’s Diner on Tilghman Street. They had a Thai shrimp sandwich on the menu we had to try. (Only thing that made it a Thai sandwich was the sweet and spicy chili sauce on it.) But it really did taste good and came with the best fries.
I am so looking forward to more walks. I missed going but G was not walking at her best last spring a summer due to her knee surgery. She says she’s feeling quite up to it now.
I didn’t take Lucy along, it was a good thing, far too many dogs at the park, and several were off lead.

Doctor? Nope.
He refused to go to the doctor, said his head didn’t hurt any more. He made it through the whole day without grabbing his head when he coughed. He knew if he didn’t he’d be on his way to the doctor’s office.
I realized tonight while listening to him stumble around over my head, I need to get someone in to help him in the evenings either that or go out of my mind when my back continues to get injured by him.
Curmudgeon 1 my back 0 He fucked it up again last night insisting I help him.
No, he doesn’t need an aid at night to get him safely to bed and help keep me from reinjuring my back EVERY FREAKING TIME.
All day whines
That’s it, I’m dragging his ass to his doctor tomorrow. He spent the entire day whining about his headache.
Really? I told you I’d take you to the ER but you said no way!
Right after I finish my coffee, he’s getting in the van and we’re going.
I’m betting the doctor tells him he has a concussion which is what I’ve been telling him all along and I’ve been telling him he needed to be checked.

Day three of concussion man
Yes, there was more moaning about his head hurting but hell no he didn’t want to go to get checked. Keep on moaning old man, I’ve stopped listening, I put my earbuds in and cranked up my music.
Lucy melts my heart every day. She’s such a sweetheart.
She does everything she can to make me laugh at least once a day.
Don’t know what I’d do without her these days.

A most stubborn man
After his fall I am certain he has a mild concussion but he refuses to go get checked.
After 45 years with him I know if I keep after him he will dig in and never go.
Now when he complains his head hurts when he coughs unless he holds onto it, I just look at him and ask, “And what am I supposed to do about it? If you want to go to the doctor I’ll take you.”
To which he’s repeatedly replied, “No, I’m fine.”
He’s going to “I’m fine” himself into an early grave.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for his demise, his stubbornness will be the death of him.

If it wasn’t for…
I know it’s not normal to be sad every day, but it is hard to find any joy most days.
I do believe it wasn’t for Lucy and G, I’d probably be permanently curled up in a ball in a corner sobbing my heart out.
Lucy cuddles with me and tolerates my hugs, kisses, and tears.
G gets me out of the house and lets me blow off steam. She never judges me, she only supports me.
Weather permitting we go for walks. We didn’t do much of that this past summer between the rain and excessive heat.
I wish I could talk her into going back to the gym. She can’t afford it and refuses to let me pay for her. I hate to exercise and find it is so much easier to go if I have an exercise buddy.
If I could get the attic cleaned I could then clear out my back bedroom and start using my exercise equipment I have in there again.
I gave The Curmudgeon the job of finding someone to clean up the attic. (Once that is done, I can move the Halloween props and things I’ve stored in the back bedroom to the attic.) We suffered some damages, falling insulation, and dirt from when the roofer removed the old slate roofing and he’s been procrastinating about this for a couple of years now.
So he took another bad fall
I was working at my computer when I heard a loud crash overhead. He was down and moaning and groaning.
I had visions of another ambulance run. He wouldn’t let me call for one.
He’s now quite pissed at me because I keep waking him up.
At least he liked his dinner of chicken and dumplings.
Lucy is passed out in her new bed–so cute all rolled up in her Ted the dog blanket!
Now 2 degrees smart little dog refuses to go out without her hoodie.

Best cousin ever!
My cousin, who resides in New Mexico, heard my pleas for someone to find me a certain dog bed in a Dollar General store and she came through big time.
I did ask the mailman if they had used the box for soccer practice though.
Lucy was anxious to check it out.
Glad I saw the extras in the box before she found them. They arrived slightly battered but unharmed.
We end with Lucy enjoying her lovely new bed and a huge THANK YOU to cousin Gloria!
Cold!
You know it’s cold outside when the furnace kicks on with great regularity.
When the dog takes two steps into the yard to pee and then races back in like she’s shot out of a cannon.
When you need to haul out the heavier socks to keep your feet warm.
When the protein drinks you had sitting on the back porch are frozen.
When you really have NO desire to set foot outside the door.
Yeah, but I have to go out tomorrow Lucy is almost out of her dog food. Dang, I hate the cold.
