Had fun yesterday.

I really enjoyed going out to lunch with my friend G. We went to Chili’s and had flat bread pizzas and topped it off by sharing a volcano cake topped with ice cream coated in a chocolate shell. Afterwards we went wandering around a mall working off the meal.
I found the dessert plates to go with my dishes and bought them. I am so tickled I can add to my china as I want. I never had any that I could do that with before. I think I’ll gift us with a nice platter for our anniversary.
I’m surprised. I am now 60. Who knew? I remember when I thought I’d never make it to 30. Funny, I don’t feel any different mentally than I did at 30. Physically? Well, yeah. Growing older isn’t for sissies.
You all have a good one!
Happy Birthday my dear.

I took The Curmudgeon out to dinner last evening. We went to a Red Robin. (http://www.redrobin.com/) This was his choice. As we got settled in our booth, I told our lovely server that it was The Curmudgeon’s 60th birthday.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner. I love not having to cook and do dishes.
When we finished eating, the table was suddenly surrounded by servers and a large, fuzzy Robin. A sundae with party sprinkles and chocolate syrup landed in front of him. Hands were clapped and their version of happy birthday made The Curmudgeon smile.
He gamely dug his way through the sundae…when we got to the car, he thanked me. Said it was fun. 😀
You all have a good one!

Happy birthday to me!
Posted by doggonedmysteries
I never thought I’d be quite as happy to celebrate a birthday like I was when I was a child. However, I am! I am happy, tickled, delighted, and beside myself with joy that I am celebrating my birthday today.
For those of you who are just starting to read my blog, I must tell you that I have good reason to be this excited. I had a heart attack back on August 17, 2011. I almost didn’t make it to this birthday, but by cracky here I am!
I’ve made lifestyle changes that I hope will give me many more birthdays. Today I celebrate!
I will dance and sing like no one is watching and listening. I will get silly any time I desire to do so. I will laugh. I will find joy wherever I can. I will speak my mind. I will choose my family and friends and will love them fiercely.
You all have a good one! I know I will!
