Tornado watch!

Yeah, this is going to be a short, quick post. I don’t need to be online and have the electric go out right in the middle of writing my blog.

You all have a good one! I’ll be back tomorrow.

Has anyone seen Spring? Please send her our way.

HPIM3647     Overnight 4 more inches of snow arrived.  Forecast for Wednesday is rain and ice.  Do we look as though we need more crap?

You have to be EFFING kidding me!

HPIM3653     Our street finally gets cleared when we get this notice:

..WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 1 PM EST TUESDAY…

* ACCUMULATIONS…SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 3 TO 4 INCHES…EXCEPT 4 TO 6 INCHES ACROSS HIGHER TERRAIN LOCATIONS ACROSS THE NORTHERN TIER OF THE POCONOS AND NORTHERN NEW JERSEY.

* TIMING…SNOW SHOULD COME IN RAPIDLY OVERNIGHT AND FALL MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGHOUT THE MORNING COMMUTE. SNOW SHOULD END CLOSE TO NOON ON TUESDAY.

* IMPACTS…ONE INCH PER HOUR SNOWFALL RATES ARE LIKELY TO OCCUR DURING THE MORNING COMMUTE. THIS WILL MAKE DRIVING AND PLOWING DIFFICULT. THE ADDITIONAL SNOW WILL CAUSE MORE STRAIN ON WEAKENED STRUCTURES INCREASING THE CHANCES FOR COLLAPSES. ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES ARE POSSIBLE.

* TEMPERATURES…IN THE MID 20S  TO AROUND 30 DEGREES WHILE ITS SNOWING… RISING ABOVE FREEZING LATER IN THE DAY  TUESDAY… EXCEPT IN THE POCONOS.

* VISIBILITIES…LESS THAN HALF A MILE AT TIMES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW. WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES…AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING. GIVE YOURSELF MORE TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION ON TUESDAY MORNING. DOUBLING OF COMMUTING TIMES IS NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION. DO NOT TAILGATE.

More snow…

Is there no end to this insanity?!!  More storms heading our way over the next couple of days!

Hard to believe it, but even more snow is falling.

     NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Yes, cabin fever.  I want to go out, but there’s nowhere I really need to go and people drive like idiots in this weather.  I love my van too much to risk it for a get out of the house jaunt.

Couldn’t believe the car I heard go down the street last night.  No one should drive that fast on ice and snow.

Oh, now it is snow and sleet. I think it is time for a chocolate martini.  Anything to help deal with cabin fever, The Curmudgeon, and two whacked out dogs.
