Cya Saturday!

So, tomorrow night I may not get a chance to post.  (Yes, I do my posts at night…in the wee hours of the morning)  I will be very busy hosting a party and handing out treats to Trick or Treaters.

Guaranteed, I’ll be exhausted by the time I get a chance to sit down and post.   Therefore, I will be doing my next post sometime on Saturday.

In the meantime, you all have a good one!

The pictures below are why I do this…

Building Mr. Needleman our Voodoo doll

HPIM3251We worked for over three hours to get him together.

HPIM3255We stuffed, and stuffed, and sewed, and stuffed…

HPIM3257And sewed….About here he ate our upholstery needle and earned his name…Mr. Needleman.  I had to finish sewing him with a much smaller needle.

HPIM3260Done!

HPIM3258He IS big isn’t he?

HPIM3259Thursday it’s last minute details…like our large pins, a heart, stitches on hands and feet, and some minor regluing of yarn on eyes.

Bwahahahaha!

You all have a good one.

I wonder if I should auction him off or unstuff and store him for next year…

Answer to the puzzle…

Answer to yesterday’s puzzle.  It turns the fog from the fog machine into low-lying fog.  You duct tape the flexible duct to the fog machine outlet, run the hose through the trash can, fill the trash can with ice and the chilled fog will stay low.

Last year, we had the fog machine running for a while when The Curmudgeon came out the door all upset.  It seems our fog was getting inside the house.  We’re hoping the low-lying fog solves that problem.  😀

G is sewing the arms and legs together so I can stuff them and assemble the voodoo doll this weekend.

A Halloween puzzle for you….

      What are these used for?

Crap, we need to get done…T or T night approaches fast.

So, there I was climbing up and down the ladder all afternoon putting black landscape fabric in place, when someone mentioned the possibility of rain on Trick or Treat night.  NOOOOO!!!!!

I have the mouth stitched on the Voodoo doll head and am waiting for G to bring me the body.  I need to cut out the arms and legs.   The eyes are ready to apply, not sure if I’ll glue them on after stuffing the head or sew them on.

I am now accepting all lightweight packing material to stuff this gargantuan Voodoo doll.  *Giggle*

Found out how to make my fog  a low-lying fog.  Need to make a run to Home Dump.

HPIM3237Two panels of fabric up.  Ye Gods and little fishes how I hate to climb ladders!

HPIM3238Five panels up…one more will go up T or T night, for now we won’t cover the door.

Spooky!

HPIM3227Getting ready to hang my landscaping fabric…first step in spookifying the front of the house.  Bwahahaha!

HPIM3232*Giggle*  This has not been spookified, my desk always looks like this.

HPIM3221Annie’s voodoo doll almost finished…waiting for another eye that G had…we did finish and deliver it.

Nope, no pictures of the large voodoo doll…yet.

You all have a good one and get spooky!

Day 8 of Tecfidera

Day seven of the Tecfidera is over.  We shall see what happens today on day eight, this is the day he starts the higher maintenance dose of 240 mg. Twice a day.

Keep your fingers crossed that he doesn’t have the runs as part of the side effects.  This is what he dreads the most.

So far all he has had was mild flushing and only with his morning dose, mind you this was on the lower dosage.

Halloween question: Would a zombie find an MS brain yummy?

It’s true! I’m batty.

Gave Annie her voodoo doll yesterday.  From her squeal of delight, I figure she liked it.  😀

The Curmudgeon had another good day.  Yay!

Our dogs, Gavin and Patty are funny.  Gavin completely ignores all the noisy props but Patty likes them and loves when I set one or two off just for her to watch.  I think her favorite is the spider in the books.

24 days to Halloween.

Fifteen days until we complete our large voodoo doll.  The most detail goes into the head so that is what we are working on.

Tomorrow I cut out the body, arms, and legs.  G will sew the seams and I will do the detail work, the stuffing, and armature.   We are hoping it all comes together within our 15 day time frame.  I like to have wiggle room.  😀

You all have a good one!

Could this be a voodoo doll mini me?

More props…Yeah, I should never go shopping at this time of year.

HPIM3212Wilting roses.

HPIM3213Books that hold a surprise…a spider jumps out at you!

HPIM3214Another Funkin and a second large cauldron.

And more stuff…like paper plates, skull food picks, and other party supplies.

I am getting there…

You all have a good one!

Doing that Voodoo that I do so well.

I am trying to come up with a pattern for my giant voodoo dolls for the porch on Trick or treat night.  So far, I traced G’s silhouette on to tracing paper and it just doesn’t seem to be quite large enough to work.  Therefore I do believe I shall have to create one in pieces sewn together to be large enough for what I am picturing.

If I have enough material, I may try to make two of them.  The Curmudgeon thinks that dowels with toy balls on the end will make suitable pins.  Plastic lids will make lovely button eyes.

Now, I need to buy some heavy black yarn…

You all have a good one!
