So, yesterday we celebrated our 43rd anniversary…
Yeah, we went to Saint Luke’s Hospital West for The Curmudgeon to get a battery of blood tests he’d forgotten to get done.
Then we stopped at Red Robin’s for lunch. Oh, that was pleasant…The Curmudgeon griped through the entire lunch.
I should have gone out for a nice dinner with G instead. I would have had more fun.
43 years. You don’t get that for murder in this state.
Time to serously cut back
When your Facebook feed gives you stress.
When you decide that over half of your ‘friends’ have gone round the bend.
When there’s almost four months remaining until the election.
It is time to leave the social networking to those who do not care so much.
Oh yeah, and happy anniversary to The Curmudgeon. 43 years. Whoopee do.
Too good to be true
Well, at least we had two blissful days of peace. Ugh. He’s back.
Can anyone explain to me why, when I listen to Israel Kamakawiwoʻole’s lovely voice, my cheeks always become wet? I do wish he was still among the living. I cried when I heard him sing while he was alive too, so it’s not his death that causes the tears.
Is it a primal longing for the islands (I was too little to know when we were there) tugging on my heart?
The Curmudgeon is truly sick of seeing me cry when I wear my ear buds.
Wow…two days in a row
I’m afraid he’s lulling us into a false sense of security.
We actually had two days in a row of no loud car stereo shaking the entire house.
It felt good.
Another day goes by
I keep hoping (to no avail) that the idiot across the street will move away.
Yesterday, pleasantly passed with him only making a tiny appearance in the morning. He stayed away all day.
The neighborhood settled into a peaceful and pleasant day.
Proof that he alone is the problem here.
Dark days
Some days I don’t think I’ll ever find joy again.
No happiness, no laughter.
Days drag from one to the next.
Seamless, no beginning no end.
Sleep comes for a few short hours whenever it comes.
When this ends I’ll be alone, as usual.
Nothing changes.
What gives?
Is it a small penis compensation thing?
What is this fascination with a stereo in a car so loud that it rattles the houses?
Huge speakers in the trunk and equipment spilling over on the back seats that makes the car utterly useless for anything but transporting a single person. (And the man has a growing family.)
Do these people know that dragging a child around in said loud vehicles is akin to child abuse? Do they care? Doesn’t look like it. Poor little girl will be deaf before she’s three.

The heat wave broke yesterday and tonight the AC is off. We have the whole house fan on pulling in the lovely, cool, fresh air from outside. Yay! The constant drone of three AC units silenced for the time being. My ears are happy.
