Yes, we have two refrigerators…
Posted by doggonedmysteries
Why? Because his idiot parents designed the kitchen and only left room for a very small one. The second one gives me spill-over room.
We’d used our original coppertone fridge for a spill-over fridge when we got a new one about five years ago. (That one had to fit in the small space where the coppertone one was. So it too is small of stature and room.)
So when our 43-year-old coppertone (our original refrigerator) died, I needed a new one to replace it.
The new one, being on the back porch, has only one size restraint. It had to fit through the doors.
Time to make a huge bowl of potato salad now that I have room to put it away.

43 years of faithful service
Posted by doggonedmysteries
So last night I said to The Curmudgeon, “The old fridge is making strange noises. I have a feeling it is not long for this world.”
It died today.
I’m used to having an overflow fridge on the back porch because the one in the kitchen is small but it is the only size that fits in the space. (My in-laws’ idiotic kitchen design strikes again. Never buy a house from your in-laws.)
I went hunting for a new one. So glad Home Dump had some on sale.
New one gets here Wednesday.
RIP old coppertone

What do you see?

I bought cherries today. I held these two up to show the Curmudgeon.
“Look! Cherry scrotum!
I’m a sick, sick person. Yep.
Well, the hammock is 1/3 there

So I dragged out the hammock stand yesterday
And now the weather prediction for the day is …yep, you guessed it…RAIN

I think I’m going to take a break
Posted by doggonedmysteries
Not from the blog but from the writing on it. I am going to let pictures take you into the mind of a completely blocked mystery writer.
I woke to this…

Oh to be back to the good old days of peace and love.

I avoided watching the news yesterday.
I tried to stay off Face Book as much as possible.
Why?
I couldn’t stand all the hate mongering.
Too much hate.
Too much violence.
And way too much political bull shit.

She’s a sassy girl

I’d carried down a basket of The Curmudgeon’s dirty clothes and set it down by my desk. My back hurt bad enough that I didn’t want to go any farther. Much less down another flight of steps.
I sat down to rest my back and out of the corner of my eye I see Lucy sneaking over to the basket.
The Curmudgeon was going to holler at her but I told him to hush, I wanted to see what she’d do.
She made several attempts to climb in without success.
Then she decided to snatch a sock and that’s when the party ended.

I love shopping at our farmers market
Posted by doggonedmysteries
From the instant you walk through the swinging doors, the aromas and visuals tantalize you from stand to stand.
“Come to me,” says the scent of fresh melons.
“Over here,” the bright colors of fresh vegetables draw you on.
Fresh breads entice your olfactory system.
Grilled foods perfume the air.
Your mouth waters.
Too bad they are only open 3 days a week.

Sneaky Jacks…finally spotted a couple Jack in the pulpits hiding among the weeds. I REALLY need to get the garden weeded. If only my back would hold out.
