Waiting for checks
Posted by doggonedmysteries
I wonder if the people I owe money to would believe that the reason I haven’t sent them any checks is because I ran out and I am waiting for some to get here?
It’s true and I feel like quite the twit about it. I meant to reorder them, I really did, but things in this house never seem to fall on the sane side. I forgot. I completely forgot all about them.
You all have a good one.

New printer…again
Posted by doggonedmysteries
Target had an all in one printer on sale cheap. I bought one. I am so tired of the battle with the old one since the change from one wireless box to another put the old printer into a complete snit.
The new one is not wireless and is working very well. I even managed to scan a couple of pictures and post them on my FB page.
Yay!

Too tired to write tonight…
Posted by doggonedmysteries
We’re so tired after running around our yard that we won’t even give Mommy any room to sit.
A rare occasion when both of them are on the couch together. 🙂

For sale…oh yeah, I still have them.

I know what I’ll be doing some days this Spring or Summer. I’ll be hunting down antique shops and flea markets where I might find someone interested in these dishes and several other items I still have here taking up valuable space. The Curmudgeon and I have no use for them, we’d rather have more room.
I have a small house and very little storage space. I am tired of tripping over these things or having to move them around all the time.
If you are interested, please leave your contact information in the comments.

Ch ch ch changes….
Posted by doggonedmysteries
Today’s sunny weather had me craving Spring something fierce. I can’t wait to go work in the garden and get walking again.
I have hopes of making some rather large changes to the yard and garden this year. The pond is going to have to go, I can’t do the upkeep alone, there were some things The Curmudgeon could do easier than I can and he can do them no longer. Know anyone in PA who wants some lovely, large Koi? Have them contact me.
I’m hoping to install new stronger, dog-proof fencing between the yards, across the front, and down the alley side. I want my poor dogs able to run and play in their yard without me having to hold them on a leash every time they go out.
So far here’s what my Spring looks like:
- Re-home Koi and fill in pond
- Find a fencing company
- Build raised planting beds and patio with pergola
Looks like I’ll be keeping a certain landscaping company in the money and working my buns off to boot.
You all have a good one!

Double whammy on its way
Posted by doggonedmysteries
We have 6 to 10 inches of snow predicted with this double whammy storm coming through. As I wrote this line in an E-mail I thought it might make a good opening for today’s post.
I am NOT looking forward to a large amount of snow. The Curmudgeon and the dogs aren’t either. We have had enough. Winter can end any time now.
I’ve blessed my snow shoveler AJ from AJ Wildflowers every time she’s cleared our walks. I am so glad we found her.
I think today calls for plenty of hot coffee, warm snuggly clothes, and 65 lb dogs on laps. The evening should consist of a stick the ribs sort of dinner and a glass of wine before bed.
You all have a good one, stay warm and safe!

Does this mean I’ve become lazy or am I germaphobic?
Posted by doggonedmysteries
I notice I am ordering more and more items online instead of going out shopping for them. Is it laziness or something else?
I know I am not very eager to go to peopled places with all the flu going around and me unable to tolerate the vaccines. I will avoid grocery shopping for as long as possible and then as soon as I leave the store I slather my hands in hand sanitizer. I never did that before.
I am glad my postman likes me. He does deliver so many packages to us lately. He likes me because I chased him down on trick or treat night to give him a bag of assorted candy. LOL, I never saw anyone quite so happy to get candy.
Maybe I should put together a bag of valentine candies for him to stay in his good graces?

What’s for dinner?
Posted by doggonedmysteries
The last couple of days I made left overs for dinners. It’s time to make a few normal meals now since I am running out of those lovely leftovers.
Yes, when I see I once again have a large collection of plastic containers, I know it is time to start cooking big meals again. This way I have left overs to put in the plastic containers and freeze for lazy days.
Beef stew sounds like a good start. I have some gorgeous packages of tenderloin tips in the freezer that I can thaw for tomorrow. They are so tender that I can whip up a large pot of stew in no time.
I will plan out several more meals where I can pack leftovers from them into the freezer. I do meals like this because I never know when I’ll need a fast, worry free meal.
Since I went grocery shopping yesterday, I can relax all weekend.
