Shawnee Tom the Piper’s Son

I am not a collector of tea pots although I have three now.  2 of which I love and plan to keep forever because they came from my parents.  I have very little from them.

Then there’s #3…it was my MIL’s…she was never nice to me and I have no desire to hang onto it and the S&P shakers that go with it.  Yes, they are for sale!!!!   $160.00  OBO!

We know you have gummies.  Give them to us!

Does this mean I’ve become lazy or am I germaphobic?

I notice I am ordering more and more items online instead of going out shopping for them.  Is it laziness or something else?

I know I am not very eager to go to peopled places with all the flu going around and me unable to tolerate the vaccines.  I will avoid grocery shopping for as long as possible and then as soon as I leave the store I slather my hands in hand sanitizer.  I never did that before.

I am glad my postman likes me.  He does deliver so many packages to us lately.  He likes me because I chased him down on trick or treat night to give him a bag of assorted candy.  LOL, I never saw anyone quite so happy to get candy.

Maybe I should put together a bag of valentine candies for him to stay in his good graces?

You all have a good one!

What’s for dinner?

The last couple of days I made left overs for dinners.  It’s time to make a few normal meals now since I am running out of those lovely leftovers.

Yes, when I see I once again have a large collection of plastic containers, I know it is time to start cooking big meals again.  This way I have left overs to put in the plastic containers and freeze for lazy days.

Beef stew sounds like a good start.  I have some gorgeous packages of tenderloin tips in the freezer that I can thaw for tomorrow.  They are so tender that I can whip up a large pot of stew in no time.

I will plan out several more meals where I can pack leftovers from them into the freezer.  I  do meals like this because I never know when I’ll need a fast, worry free meal.

Since I went grocery shopping yesterday, I can relax all weekend.

Yikes! I hate wind.

With the expectation of high winds of 60 mph I might not be posting tomorrow.  It all depends on if we have damage here or not.

There is also the possibility of trees coming down with the ground so danged wet.  We’ve had the weirdest weather the last couple of years.

You all have a good one and stay safe.

Face Off on Syfy

Face Off, do you watch it?  I’ve been watching since the first one because I love Hollywood make up and props.  They’ve had some great artists go through.  The previews for this season seemed to promise even better.

I have to say that this bunch has me very disappointed.  So far, only two out of the entire group have shown any promise.  Color me blue.  I am sad.  I hoped this season they’d really knock my socks off, but so far, they have all disappointed me.

If you watch the show, please tell me what you think.  Are you disappointed with this group too?

You all have a good one!

Another day gone…

Piles of laundry, sweet-smelling, fresh, clean, folded and put away.  I may not have accomplished much yesterday, but I did do that.

I wanted to work on my fairy tale and two of my books but there’s no such thing as concentration around here these days.

The Curmudgeon was on one of his ‘let’s see how far I can push her to the edge’ days.  The pups wanted out every five minutes.  If I sat down at my computer, the phone rang, almost as if it were connected to my desk chair.

Two days of warm temperatures ahead, I’ll add water to the pond.

You all have a good one!

Updates for the week.

Waking up well rested, finding The Curmudgeon in good shape, the dogs fed and taken out…that’s a good day.

We  didn’t get a lot of snow.  I heard ‘AJ Wildflower Landscaping’  shoveling our sidewalk and drive around 5 this morning.  So glad I don’t have to do it.  I adore AJ,  she does a wonderful job.

The dogs were quiet and cuddly all day.  I guess they figured we needed a break.   LOL!

You all have a good one!

Not a good day.

I woke VERY early to The Curmudgeon yelling.  I leapt out of bed and dashed downstairs to find him flat on the floor and unable to pull himself up into his chair.  I cannot lift him when he’s like this because he’s dead weight.

I dialed the neighbor’s number, handed the phone to The Curmudgeon, and ran back upstairs to get dressed.  A minute or two after returning downstairs, the neighbor was here to help.

Our neighbor lifted The Curmudgeon into his chair after a couple attempts.  The rest of the day The Curmudgeon spent recovering.  After a long nap and by dinnertime he was doing better.

I don’t know what I’d do without our neighbors.

You all have a good one!

If I put it here, it won’t get lost….

I am one of those people.  I put things away in a safe place where I’d be sure to find them, and can never find them again.

It’s as if there’s a black hole for things like that.  I put a paper away a week or so ago, thinking I will remember where I put this.  Nope.  It didn’t happen.  Again.   I have torn the house apart many times over for many days and still haven’t found that one piece of paper and it is driving me crazy.

      Yeah, I know…it’s a very short drive.

      Does anyone else do this?

You all have a good one!

Bits and pieces

So now we wait for the results of the MRIs he had yesterday, and The Curmudgeon goes back for the longer EEGs in February.  The waiting is the hardest part.

Next week is G’s 70th birthday.  We must figure out some way to make it magnificent for her.  I know I am going to kidnap her and take her out to lunch…

The pups are not happy with the cooler weather although they do seem pleased that we had sun yesterday for the first time in ages.

     I lost two pounds.  Yay!!!

You all have a good one!

Love my Kindle on days like this…

I drove The Curmudgeon to his EEG appointment.  They asked that we show up a half hour early.  We did.   I dropped him at the door with his rollator and went to park the van.

When I got up to the appointment, they already had him back answering questions, handing them insurance cards, and filling out paperwork.

We were sent back out to the waiting room.  With this being flu season I was happy there were no other people sitting out there.  I refuse to touch magazines in doctor’s offices.  Talk about germ factories.

My kindle has 355 books and 9 games in it.  It fits in my little purse.  The Curmudgeon will play the games with me and I am the only one who touches it.

Once they called him back for his EEG I sat back and read.  Before I knew it they were bringing him out.

You all have a good one!
