So windy!
I hadn’t planned to take down the background yet. However, with the winds we had, the background almost took itself down. The furring strip I’d stapled it to was standing on end and wedged between roof and porch floor.
Yep, I took it all down. Then I brought all the fabric inside and folded it to put away in one of the large storage containers with the rest of the Halloween things. I even dragged the bins down to the living room.
There you have it, the decorations were going to stay up a few more days because I am basically a lazy person. Now, due to the weather, most of them are ready to pack away. I’m not sure if I should thank the weather gods or not. *Giggle*
Happy Birthday to our Gavin!
He’s a whole thirteen years old now. Hard to believe that much time has passed since Linda and I picked him up at the airport customs office.
He was eight weeks old and such a cute little guy that everyone in the customs office fell in love with him.
The Curmudgeon didn’t know we were picking him up, he thought Gavin was coming two weeks from then. We fooled him and showed up at his work with Gavin. The dispatcher called him into the office to see someone who stopped in to see him.
I loved the look on his face when he saw me with little Gavin. Priceless!

I ran out of get up and go and had to stop. It’s amazing how warm it was under that porch roof.
We found last year’s doggie costumes. I’m not sure how Lucy felt about that.
Gavin didn’t seem thrilled.
But dang they were so cute.

My sanity is slipping away.
“This is why we can’t have nice things. Not the dogs, not me, YOU, you are the reason.”
This I said after The Curmudgeon managed to ruin one of our fairly new rugs. No, not the smaller of the two either. Death rays poured from my eyes and I came so very, very close to losing it permanently.
What’s gotten into him?
Gavin, my can’t-stay-awake-past-7 p.m. dog has suddenly become a night owl. It seems he is now in competition with Lucy as to who can stay up the latest.
Sigh.
It was so much easier when he slept and she got cuddles. Now they both want to be on my lap all the time.
LOL. And to top that off I think The Curmudgeon is getting jealous that they both want me.

Yay for Trick or Treat night on Halloween for a change!
G’s new neighbors will be coming over Trick or Treat night and joining in on the fun.
I Invited our other new neighbors to come over for the after trick or treat dinner. They have been fairly warned that last year we had 300 Trick or Treaters show up. Their son is having his second birthday this coming weekend so we’ll add a little something special for him.
How do we top these?

There wasn’t enough coffee in the world.
I had one of those toss and turn, OMG-am-I-ever-going-to-fall-asleep? nights. Only to have The Curmudgeon call me on the intercom two minutes after I finally fell asleep.
“I can’t take care of the dogs today.”
“OMFG! Really? Why does this always effing happen when I’ve had NO sleep?!”
No, I didn’t get a nap to make up for it after the dogs were taken care of, instead I had to make a grocery store run and after that no one would let me sleep.
Therefore, this is all you’re getting. It’s after midnight and I am going to make a full on attempt to get some sleep.
