Low and slow day

I kept a low profile yesterday.  After not getting any rest at the hospital I needed some.  Of course, having two dogs who missed me, didn’t help in the getting some rest department.  LOL!  Oh, well gots to love the babies.

“Mommy is home.  We can go out every five minutes?”  Gavin rings the bells to go out repeatedly.

      “No.”

“We can have what you have?”  Patty and Gavin try to climb into my lap while I eat a yogurt.

     “No.”

“We can both sit in your lap?”  They bicker for spot on me rather than next to me on the couch.

“No.  Get off.”  I take inventory of all my new bruises.

You all have a good one!

Did you notice I was gone for a day?

Spent Tuesday and most of Wednesday in the hospital.  All is well.  Wasn’t feeling very well Tuesday when I got up and after I showered and dressed was feeling worse.  Had some mild symptoms similar to when I had the heart attack, so I had The Curmudgeon call an ambulance.  I wasn’t taking any chances.

They sent me home yesterday around 6 p.m. all clear.  They did adjust some medications to lower dosages added a new one and took me off another.  My potassium levels were too low so they have me taking some now too.  My cholesterol levels are great according to them.  All my blood tests came back good and the echocardiogram stress test was very good.

No meteors to be seen here

I wanted to see the Perseids but it is too bright here in the city to see any.   I sat out in the yard in the dark and stared at the sky for quite a while and saw nothing but a few stars.  It is truly too bright here.  I wish I was visiting my cousins, I know they have a great night sky there.

Casper is gone

The Curmudgeon woke up very weak and had difficulty walking yesterday.  This was not a good thing since we were going to meet the couple we gave the van to, to do the title transfer and make everything nice and legal.  I had to drag his big ol’ heavy rollator downstairs so he could use it.  I about killed myself doing that.  He really needs one for both the second floor and the ground floor so I don’t have to haul one up and down stairs all the time.

I finally get him out to the car, and the advantages of this new van when dealing with him on a bad day, about floored me.  I don’t have to get in to start the car and get the AC going for him, I can open the side doors from a distance, and it’s just a lot easier to do what needs doing.

Once we had all the paperwork done, we drove home and they left with the van, but not without her giving me a big hug.  They really needed Casper, their car was in a bad wreck and they couldn’t afford another one.  She’d helped G and I so much over at the MIL’s house I felt it was good Karma.  Casper the haunted van has a good home.

Just another day

~~Enter coughing, waving hands at smoke, and kicking at detritus~~  “Sorry I took so long but my comments section got spam bombed and it took forever to clear out the debris.  I guess I shouldn’t complain, I’d had a fairly long break with only one or two spam comments.”

Today I spent most of the day running various errands and catching up on things I couldn’t do before with my old van not starting for me.

You all have a good one.

Wow, just wow.

I am married to a wonderful man!!!  We went car shopping yesterday and I am now the proud owner of a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country.  😀  Happy dances will commence and go on for weeks.

You all have a good one!!!

Warning: this post might make you cringe.

It felt like I spent hours in the periodontist’s office yesterday.  To clean my teeth they need to numb the crap out of them.  I have some very ‘hot’ teeth.  Well, at least at my age, something about me is still hot.  So there I was getting scraped, and cleaned for what seemed like forever and The Curmudgeon was stuck waiting in the waiting room for me.  Yet, I still managed to joke with the hygienist and the Periodontist.  Would you believe it was The Curmudgeon who was sweating it all the time I was in there?  Can you say phobia?

I have to go back for some deeper work–yikes–the scraping of the roots.  It’s going to take two visits, the first in October and the second in November.  I am not thrilled.  I had this done ten years ago.  However, at least by then I should have a new car and The Curmudgeon won’t have to suffer in the waiting room.

Then we start talking about implants to replace the three missing teeth.  When I mention it the first one they think I want replaced is the front tooth.  Hey, surprisingly enough I am more concerned about the two missing molars.  I like to comfortably chew my food.

A short post tonight

Wow, I almost fell asleep without posting tonight.  I have no idea why I am so sleepy all the time as of late.   Maybe I have need of another medication adjustment or something.

Today it’s off to the periodontist at two to have another cleaning.  The Curmudgeon is driving since my van won’t start again.  Yikes!  I hate riding with him, he scares the crap out of me.

You all have a good one.

Sneaky Gavin, real sneaky.

Hehehe!  I knew if I looked pitiful long enough someone would join me on the floor.

Before and after…

I do need to find new rugs…the old ones are worn thin.

I’m so happy to finally have new furniture even though we’ll be paying that charge off forever.

You all have a good one!

Shoot me now.

There are days when The Curmudgeon seems to be determined to drive me round the bend.  Today was such a day.

When I thought he’d finally gone to bed and out of my hair, I was wrong.

He wandered back down, “Can’t sleep.”

Dang, there’s goes my quiet time, my writing time, my me time…again.  This coming back down is becoming a habit with him.  I need to break this habit.  The man wants to have a conversation, this means any more writing at this time is not possible.

You all have a good one.

I bought new furniture!

My furniture is a total wreck it needed replacing for a long time now.  I took The Curmudgeon to the store to see what I’d picked out on my foray with Annie.  He really liked the couch, found a lounge chair he liked better, and helped me settle on a chair and ottoman that would suit the house.

Then we charged it and it arrives on Saturday!  He figures we might as well, once the MIL’s house money is out of escrow we can write a check for whatever we owe on the charge.
