The edge of 63
As a young woman, it never occurred to me that I’d have so much to worry about when I got older. Hell, 63 years of age to me was OLD and an age I’d probably not reach.
Well, here I am, teetering on the edge of 63.
Now, I worry about our Social Security getting raped by the Republicans, not to mention the pillaging of Medicare, affordable healthcare, and so many other things.
Seems the Republicans enjoy playing reverse Robin Hood and they steal from the poor to line the pockets of the rich.
When I was young, I didn’t have health problems and a need for life saving drugs.
When I was young, my husband hadn’t yet been diagnosed with MS. (Need I mention ALL the drugs he needs to make it through a day?)
When I was young, I quit my job on more than one occasion to go 2,000 miles away from my husband (who was still in good health) to care for my baby sister, not worrying about hours needed for medicare and time lost with a healthy husband.
SOS… this country is in trouble
The orange troll, the bilious billionaire, the nutcase in office, the man who would be king, the man who should be committed, not my potus, the child-handed, weird rug wearing jerk needs impeaching.
This idiot of the highest caliber has his finger on the red buttons of nuclear launches.
This child-man has the temperament of a sleep deprived three year old.
Wake the hell up people and take him down. Put him in a rubber room. Better yet …a jail cell.
Survey says….
And so it begins…with local politics now.
Usually we screen our calls. (Yes, if you call here and don’t speak to my answering machine you will not get me.)
I decided to answer a called marked Denver that had a phone # for shits and grins and found it to be a young man taking a political survey.
LOL!!!
Now, how many times do you think I cracked that young man up during the survey with my observations on politics today?
Especially when he asked my opinion on the orange troll and his cronies…
Oh for Pete’s sake…
Can we not get through a single day without the buffoon in charge causing us more embarrassment?

In memory of what we’ve lost
As a country we’ve lost the respect of those who were our allies.
We’ve lost allies.
We’ve lost a sane government that is actually of the people, by the people, and for the people. The majority of the people in this country are not billionaires or millionaires. The people running the government have no idea what we are all about.
We’ve lost friends over the divisions created by the orange troll and his cronies.
Racism, narcissism, misogyny, churlish and childish behavior have no place in the White House.
We’ve lost reality, lies are lies they are not alternative facts.
We’ve lost our checks and balances. No one is reining the idiot in and he is definitely unbalanced.
We need to stop losing things like rights, public lands, and more and start getting them back.
Resist! Rebel! Stand your ground!
I stand with many
This man, this eloquent man, if he were alive today, would have plenty to say about the state of our government today.
This man who served in the USAF for 26.5 years. Who served in WWII. Who, without the VA, would have left us a lot sooner.
This man, would be able to write a sermon so stirring, not one man, woman, or child would leave his church thinking they were helpless to change what is going on.
This man raised 5 daughters and taught us all to never settle, to never stay silent in the face of wrongdoing, and never ever allow ourselves to be subjugated by a tyrant.
Be aware orange troll, I do not stand alone in my beliefs. I do not stand alone in refusing to be silent. I stand with many.
Resist the buffoon in charge!!

It was another dark day for our country as the groper-in-charge spewed forth more venom into the veins of freedom.

I will not sit silent
I will not sit silent while our rights are being raped and pillaged.
I will not sit silent and display cute puppies and kittens on my page while the rich and powerful tread on the poor, tired, hungry, sick, and those yearning to be free.
I will not sit silent and watch everything we the people have worked so hard to gain get flung to the sharks.
I will continue to poke the bear.
May the orange troll and all his cronies have karma get up in their faces and give them all they deserve.
You should be scared
I know I am.
I am my husband’s caregiver. We live on a single disability SS check.
I cannot collect SS because, oh yes, I need 40 working hours more to get any. Can I get 40 hours? Nope, I am my husband’s caregiver and I can’t leave him alone to go work for that 40 hours I need.
Also who’s going to hire me? Yep, no one.
Why? Because quite a few years ago I ruined my work record by quitting jobs to go to Texas several times to be my sister’s caregiver/advocate.
Now we are under the threat of having what little money we have coming in getting slashed to ribbons by a misogynistic prick and his cronies.
I have a message for the orange troll.
