Waiting for MRI results again

We had to go to the hospital for The Curmudgeon to get an MRI of his thoracic spine. So glad I took my Kindle along since they took him in fast and I was left sitting in the waiting room. With the Kindle the time passed quickly.

The Neurologist told The Curmudgeon he can’t drive until she sees the results of his latest MRI. He’s not thrilled. If she takes his driving license away we’ll sell the truck. We can use the bucks and we can save all that insurance money that we shell out for it.

Lovely day for walk.

Yesterday was the perfect weather for a walk in the park.  It was warm but we had a lovely breeze to keep us from over heating.  The humidity we’ve had lately was gone, hurrah!

We did the short route though because G’s knee was bothering her but we did get in a mile and a half.  I do enjoy our park and hated to see what Saturday’s storm did there.  We were checking out the storm damage while we walked.  There were several trees that lost large branches.

G says quite a few trees in the cemetery sustained some damage too.  Her husband is working to help clear the many downed branches.

When we arrived home the pups wanted me to take them out in the yard, they too are enjoying the change in the weather.

You all have a good one!

Lovely day

What a great day for walking!  Annie and I made two circuits of the park.  We can’t do that on days when G walks with us.  G has had a knee replaced and once around the park is all she can handle before her other knee starts to kill her.  She dreads it but knows that one of these days that one too needs replacing.

We saw a wonderful sight by the second foot bridge.  An elderly Lab was tootling around (doing mini laps) in a small patch of deep water.  His mom was standing by keeping watch while he was thoroughly enjoying himself.   Two ducks nearby were unconcerned about his company.

Great day to go walking.

So I didn’t win any money on the scratch-off ticket I bought yesterday.  It didn’t mean it was a bad day.  In fact it was a good day.

The weather was lovely.  G and I went for our walk in the Rose Gardens park.  This time we did the whole trail and used each exercise station except for one that was occupied at the time.

When we finished, we both remarked as to how good we felt.  The entire walk took us a little over half an hour.  We plan to do it again two more times this week.  We’d like to get a small group together to do these walks with us.

We do hope to work out an exercise plan that will take us through all the parks in the city this spring and summer.  We may do a week at one then a week at another.  We’re not quite sure.   We need to factor in a few things like what do we do when the weather is bad?  What if someone is sick?  If we’re running late getting there,  do we call the other members of the group?
