I can do without the snow and ice.
Posted by doggonedmysteries
We did have a few days of unseasonably warm weather and of course that tends to lull one into a false sense of security. I hadn’t as yet put the liner in my good jacket and had taken my hoodie out of my old jacket again so I could wear just the hoodie in the ‘warmer’ weather.
In the last hour the temperature dropped ten degrees and shows no sign of stopping.
Even though it has turned to plain old rain again, I know that in a few more hours there’s ice, sleet, and snow in store for us. Yuck. At least Texas got snow before we did. 😉

More friggin snow

Oh, for Pete’s sake. As if the snow we had the other day wasn’t enough, Mother Nature decided we needed an even heavier jolt, topped off with sleet, freezing rain, and rain.
We had planned to go out to dinner for my birthday yesterday. However, after leaving an afternoon appointment with The Curmudgeon not feeling all that great, seeing the snow begin to fall, we decided maybe we ought to put it off for a day or two. Good thing we did.
It didn’t take long for the snow to start to come down fast and furious. How happy I was to be safe at home…sort of… I hate cooking and doing dishes on my birthday.
You all have a good one!

Snow…okay…but sleet and ice?

I can tolerate snow as long as it doesn’t get into ‘feet of’ depths… Or would that be heights? Snow is navigable. Ice, however, is not. We have ice. Lots and lots of it. My car is coated with it.
I am supposed to take Gavin to the vet’s early this morning. I may call them and ask to postpone it. I really don’t want to drive on icy roads in my new car. Heck, the way it looks at the moment, I’ll be lucky to make it out of the driveway.
Keep your fingers crossed that the roads improve by 8 a.m.
You all have a good one!
