Memed…gee, thanks. I think.

Thanks Granny Anne (http://grannysramblings.wordpress.com/).  I was struggling for a topic tonight anyway.   I wasn’t going to post about my birthday–too boring.

My favorite recordings are, in no particular order…

Mozart, The Complete Piano Sonatas, Philippe Entremont  — I often listen to them while I’m writing.

Mick Maloney and Eugene O’Donnell –for some toe tapping Irish fun

Sean Nua– for the same

Joe and Antoinette McKenna–easy listening Irish music

Celtic Reflections …again while I write and when I’m not in the mood for Mozart

Queen and Meatloaf, when I’m cleaning… for the energy

Saffire, the Uppity Blues Women–any time!

Dixie chicks…and various other country/western singers.

  1. I’m with you all the way – especially Saffire. Sadly, they are retiring or have retired as a group recently. I can understand, but it’s the sad end of an era for me.

A couple of things on your list for me to check out – golly gee, does that mean I HAVE to go to Borders today? 🙂

  2. I don’t have favorite music like that, but I do have songs with a certain sound/beat/rhythm that I never tire of listening to that I’ve assembled on my ‘Travelin’ Tapes.’ They’re mostly hard rockin’ songs that make me want to line it up, fire it up, and stand on the tall pedal.

Singers/groups I never tire of are AC/DC, Bob Segar & The Silver Bullet Band, Travis Tritt, and Toby Keith.

My list could go on and on…

Yeah, on the Travis Tritt and Toby Keith!
