A quick movie review

I bought the Avatar DVD today and we watched it tonight.  We both loved it.  DH and I agree it’s a movie worth watching repeatedly.

The FX were great.  The story drew us in and had us rooting for the natives and booing the soldiers.

There was plenty of action to keep DH happy and enough story to hold my interest.  Rent it, buy it, enjoy it.

  1. We thought about seeing this – 3D gives me a headache – and I dunno – it just didn’t interest me when it came out. I have heard so many wonderful reviews that now I must rent it. In the meantime Devoted Spouse took me to see Alice in Wonderland (I sooo love Johnny Depp) and even he thought it was wonderful. We seem to do the movie thing in fits and spurts – lately there just hasn’t been much I felt like watching except old Katherine Hepburn movies. 🙂

The DVD we bought wasn’t in 3D and the FX were still breathtaking. I’ll have to put Alice on my to buy list. DH can’t sit in a theater so we do have quite a collection of DVDs.

  2. We did enjoy your Sherlock Holmes recommendation, so I’ll put it on my shopping list because you said so… 😉

Do yourself a favor and skip The Men Who Stare at Goats the only funny parts were what they put in the trailers, the rest was a yawn.

Hi kiddo! Happy to see you stop in. 😉 No one ever said that everyone likes the same things. Sorry you disliked it.
