Smile DH, it’s your birthday

It’s DH’s birthday today.  He’s not exactly doing cartwheels over it.  He’s rolling down the backside of his 50s.  I’m tempted to drag him out to dinner sometime next week to ‘sort of’ celebrate.  It isn’t easy to get him to go out.  It’s not that he’s hard to please it’s that he finds many things difficult to chew.

The man needs a new set of choppers but I can’t talk him into going to get them.  They aren’t something that I can go buy for him.  If I bought him a new lounge chair or some clothing, I can do that without him because I know what he likes and what sizes he wears.  However, for new teeth, he needs to be there.

Maybe by this time next year I’ll have him convinced and wearing a new smile.

     Say cheese!

  1. Happy birthday, DH!

You could always go for a soup, followed by stew, followed by ice cream?

    I’ll get my coat.

Hope you both have a great weekend.

I’m warming up the car, how fast can you walk on water? 😉

  2. You’re not getting older, you’re getting better. Age is a matter of the mind, if you don’t mind, it don’t matter. You’re old enough to know your limits, and young enough to exceed them. Oh, and just tell everyone you’re celebrating the __th anniversary of your 29th birthday. Let THEM do the math. Happy Birthday, DH!!

  3. Happy Birthday to DH. I remember when my Dad went around for years without his two front teeth (He lost them playing football when he was in the Navy) It didn’t show too much because he had a longish upper lip, but eventually he went to get false teeth and when he came back with them the first time he had a grin like a letterbox! 🙂

He lost most of his teeth in a car accident the first year we were married. He has a lovely upper plate that works fine and had a partial lower one. But he lost what was left of his lower teeth last year and has stubbornly refused to go get a new lower plate.
