Is that a light I see at the end of the tunnel?

Even though G was sick and couldn’t go over to work with me, five more bags of garbage and two loaded recycling bins, hit the curb over at the MIL’s house yesterday.  I cleared out the linen closet and some more junk out of one of the bedrooms.

Chuck stopped by and picked up a few items we’d promised him.  Then the TALL man pulled a plastic garden bench down for me that was on top of a high pile of stuff in the garage.  (I can’t help being short, Chuck but I know many people shorter than I am.)  The bench will work well on our front porch especially when DH needs to sit down out there.

Once home, I arranged with my neighbor’s son to have him go over tomorrow and give us an estimate on repairing/redoing the stucco on areas of the house where we need it done.

I’m beginning to feel as though we are getting our ducks in a row at last.  Sure, there’s plenty more we need to do over there before DH can sell the house, but we are seeing a light at the end of the tunnel albeit a teensy light, but a light none the less.

  1. Don’t start feelin all special…..I’ve used that short people line on Gail for the past 32 years and on my Grandmother for 20 years before that, and with my Grand mother I would do the down on my knees to look her in the eyes as I said it so she could hit me better without having to reach…. so ;-D~
    short people

Don’t get all puffed up there big guy or I’ll have to get a ladder and kick your asterisk.

  2. That is some terrific progress you are making on the house. We who are of shorter persuasion definitely think better because our heads aren’t up in the clouds! Says the woman who kicked the living daylights out of a knee cap in a karate bout cause that was as high as she could reach 🙂

    HEHEHE!
