Two electronics questions.

DH is interested in buying either a Wii, a Playstation, or an Xbox keeping in mind that he has MS, has limited mobility, and that he isn’t interested in any of the violent games out there, which would be the best choice for him?

The second question is mine.  Of the portable vehicle GPS units, which is the best one for me?  I’m looking for ease of use, sound quality, and best value for your money.

  1. All the community centers and senior centers around here have opted for Wii. As have several residential facilities. And I know of one person who is wheelchair bound who enjoys her Wii. But I have no personal experience with any of them.
Don’t know a thing about GPS systems. Sorry
    Good luck!

Yeah, I am leaning towards the Wii for him.

  2. As far as GPS units go, I would go with a Garmin. They seem to be the best quality and you can get them reasonably priced at Wally World.

As far as video game consoles are concerned, I’d go with Wii….there are games you both can play together such as boxing, golf, tennis, baseball. There’s even one for hunters, and that’s just for starters. The instructions seem to be quite complicated, but I think DH wouldn’t have problems there. I just know I would, LOL. If you take a trip to your local store and compare the games between Wii, PS and Xbox, that’ll give you a better idea what games are out there. Good luck.

I get the feeling he’s bored with TV these days. The answers I’m getting both here and on my Facebook page seem to favor the Wii for DH.
