Koi anyone?

Pond

It saddens me, but I think we’ll have to give up the pond.  DH can’t do any of the work and I can’t keep up with what all needs to be done.  It breaks my heart because I love it so much but I need to cut back on some of the heavy work around here.

We’ll have to empty it and fill it in.  Maybe I’ll put a screeened Gazebo in its place.  It would be a nice place to picnic or read and be protected from the bugs.

If you are in Eastern PA and could give some large, friendly Koi a good home , we need to talk.

  1. I hear Koi are very good filleted, dipped in bread crumbs, and pan-fried in a little butter with some spices.

Seriously, sorry to hear you have to give the pond up, especially after what you went through a few years ago. I know how much it means to you.

I figure it’s best to give it up while I still have the energy to redo that area.

  2. Awww, I’m sorry you’re needing to give up your Koi, I know how much they mean to you. I remember how heartbroken you were when the first batch were killed. Wish I could help out but it’s just not a feasible thing right now. I’ve always thought it would be nice to have a small pond in the back yard. I just can’t keep up with it either. Heck, just ask the backyard birds about their birdbath, LOL.

I hope I can find someone who’ll take the fish. They are BIG and all but one will eat food from your hand.

  3. Hmm id love to take one but im not sure if they r too big to be in a tank… N i dunno bout traveling im pretty good with fish my lil betta has convos with me haha anyway let me know what u think if they travel ill try and help but i wont be in pa till next month.

Stop by and see them. I doubt you’ll be taking any though, they are BIG.
