Today I was a tourguide

I tend to forget how large our local farmers market is until I take a visitor there as I did today.  I rather enjoyed watching my ‘adopted son’s’ jaw drop when we walked in the door and heavenly aromas hit him.

We walked down one side and back up the other.  He snapped pictures and tasted a few samples as we walked along.  We stopped at a local winery stand and tasted some wines.  We both bought some.

He kept wishing for more time because our time was limited.  To do the place justice you really need to have enough time to do one walk-through and then another one or two to stop at different stands to buy items.

I love going there.  Although, some days, I do tend to spend a bit more than I should.   How can you not when there’s so much good food all around you?

  1. I’m glad I’m not the only one whose jaw dropped upon entering that place. I still remember the sh**t eating grin you had on your face, LOL. I plan to get back there this spring/summer with a friend so she can see for herself. I again have Thursdays off so I’ll make a day of it with her and will call you ahead.

Just let me know a day ahead… ;D

  2. Mmmmm had the Turtle Rock last night. Yummy! It was safer for my finances that time was limited 🙂

Same here, I KNOW I could’ve spent a fortune there!
