Implosion imminent!

If the warranty runs out does it mean the item is soon going to implode?  In our case, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised.  That would be a normal occurrence.

Nothing is made to last these days.  Planned obsolescence is on what today’s manufacturers depend.  Appliances no longer last thirty years as they did in the past.  Today, you are lucky to have things last more than a year or two.

We received notification yesterday that our ‘new’ washing machine’s warranty will soon run out.  What????

You all have a good one.

  1. I don’t find it strange. Quality is not really a criteria these days and a product is not made to last long so that you are forced to buy a new one.

  2. Funny you should mention appliances going out. Our 14 1/2 yo refrigerator died about a week ago. The day after that got replaced, the 8 yo washing machine motor conked out…sigh.

Why is it that it’s never just one at a time? Remember when my big freezer went out and a couple days later so did my dryer?

  3. I remember, it’s been a while, though. As for the why? Because they can, that’s why, LOL
