Supervising the making of the toast.
Bow, bark, bow…”Sissy play with me!!!”
“No napping, let’s play some more!”

She’s tired…oh, so tired…

I went for my first walkies in the Rose Garden Park this year. My feeties are sore and I am very tired…but I am happy too. I had a good time with Momma, and Aunties G and Annie. We had a girls day.

Malcolm, he was my heart dog…
Posted by doggonedmysteries
Every once in a while a pet comes into your life and strolls directly into your heart to stay there forever. This is my heart dog. He lives in my heart as much today as he did for the thirteen years he was with us.
Thank you Maggie Burns for this wonderful dog who blessed our lives and sits forever in my heart.

Gotta love them!

It seems that the pups have decided every evening after dinner it is time for a crazy romp. This hucklebutting, chase me, chase you, on and off the couch, living room to kitchen insanity is a hoot.
If you saw these two you’d never believe that Gavin is going on twelve and Patty is nine. They make us smile and laugh. They are our greatest blessing.
You all have a good one and keep on laughing.

If Dad is eating it, it must be good.

In theory it works…but in real life?
Posted by doggonedmysteries
We’ll see.
Oh, yeah the theory…if I keep taking the dogs outside with me eventually they will get bored with grazing or beating the crap out of each other and will begin to relax in the yard and let me work rather than have to keep my eyes on them all the time.
Or not…
Patty says, “Oh, Brudder let me gnaw on yer neck.” Yeah, I’ll get to work out there with them…not very likely.

Another day in paradise
Posted by doggonedmysteries
At least the sun was bright all day. Too bad it barely made it over 50 degrees. Windy again too, like we really need more wind.
I think the pups are pining away for that lovely warm weather we had the other day. The tulips are blooming and the magnolia blossoms are dropping like crazy. The yard is a sea of pink.
I’m hoping we get more seasonal weather this coming week. I sure would like to get out and go fishing, or walking with my friends.
You all have a good one and please send us a bit of warmth.

Add new post…okay
Posted by doggonedmysteries
Some days I stare at the ‘Add New Post’ and have no idea what I will write. This is one of those days.
Yesterday our lovely spring weather turned wet and chilly, what is up with this Spring? Of course it is better than having it go from winter directly into summer but I sure would like more days in the 70s before we get to the 80 degree stuff.
I had to laugh at the pups. The day before we had such nice weather they were not thrilled to have rain and chilly yesterday.
Why did I mop the floors? I have no idea other than they needed it. They certainly won’t stay clean for long with the rain and our infamous muddy yard.
We really need to put a patio in so the doggy and Curmudgeon feet won’t track in quite so much mud.
You all have a good one.
Blessings on Boston and the people in Texas affected by the blast there.

What a lovely day we had.

It’s a darned shame that with nice weather my energy levels didn’t go up. If they had, I would’ve done so much yesterday that people would have fallen down in dead faints to see it.
However, no one fainted, and I accomplished only minimal amounts of work. I think my get up and go, got up and went. If you happen to see it would you kindly direct it back here?
Being outside in the sunshine was a pure invitation to laziness and my playful side. The dogs and I had a rip-roaring wild game of find Mommy–tag, she’s it! They are still snoring in their crates. Funny, by now they normally want a last out. I may have to wake them for that.
You all have a good one!
Blessings on Boston. A candle burns in this house for you all.
